Courtesy of Loopnet. Only color photo found of this rink. Google Map has a history of the building after the rink was long gone. Currently an auto parts store with a children playcenter.
Rockville Skating Center 1632 East Gude Dr., Rockville, MD
This roller rink had no information on the internet at all. But seen the history of the building. It is very similar in design as to Calvert and Clinton rinks. Long rectangular Free-span Steel walled warehouse-like Gable building with the Falso Industries-raised Hip. Clearly those three (and maybe more rinks I have not listed yet) have this trademarked design. It may have been the same owner as it was to Calvert and Clinton rinks. But I could not find anymore information on this one. It may have closed a lot longer ago.
The building itself had very 1970s colors- Tan and Brown. Yes, it even had that reverse Hip canopy. But after it was closed, the autoparts store moved in as it shown in 2007 (sorry picture was really blurred. Google Map was in its infancy. Anyway, the auto part store retained the same colors. Then in 2011 add the kiddie playcenter on the right of the building. Then by 2015, they pained in Depressing Cold Grey #90. However, it really pops well with their signs having dark background walls.
Google Map showed me in 2007, it was and still is an auto part store. But in 2011, they have part of the same building a child-oriented bounce and indoor playground center.
Not much to tell.
