Loop Net. This location was their second home. They had outdoors roller court. Well, part of the dealership grounds was rented/leased.
Google Map. This was provided by a skating fan. He said this was the location where the Rollercourt was located for the second home of The Rink. The building was there already at the time. And the ideal location where the rink was on that property. Started to play in 1993 till 1997/98 at the Dobson indoor location.
Courtesy of Loop Net. Fire hydrant removed--Courtesy of Dead-Rinks. This was when the rink was closed already and a furniture store was there temporary as the boat dealership was just about to move in. Taken in 2006. This is the third location they started to play in 1997/98 till its closing.

The Rink Sports Center or known as Rink at a location originally started by the Arizona State University dorms for a couple years. Then one or a couple of guys who then found a new location to have hockey games at 1120 North McClintock Drive, Tempe, AZ then finally at the location of 150 South Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. It featured both indoor football (soccer) and Inline Hockey. Later on it became a furniture store and then a boat dealership and now, a warehouse. Many changes.
The Rink were actually outdoors near the university then at the North McClintock Drive location where Enterprise Car Rental is located today. Because of the nature and environment in Arizona, That caused what one skating fan at this rink who played with the founders at the university and the McClintock location that they received "Rink Lung" which is dust in the air especially when they skated on there and playing roller hockey, they picked up dust from their wheels, sticks, and rolling puck as well I am sure they fell down and it was inches from surface that they grasped for air. But that did not stop them and they kept growing and relocated to the South Dobson, their final location.
They played a couple more years at the McClintock location where the current Enterprise rental store is at now. The that was still outdoors but they finally moved indoors at the South Dobson where that boat dealership was (see photo above).
Actually that building was split use according to the skater who emailed me information including about the original locations and about "Rink Lung" that you ended up coughing a lot.
The move to the final location was sometimes between 1996 and 1998.
More about the outdoors which quite interesting fact he told me -- In his words--
The outdoor rink was so fun but of course posed many problems...not the least was rain...we were die-hards so we would alway[s] at least try to play if it was just sprinkling but the sport court got slick very quickly. The other two issues were that it also got dirty pretty quick, which was bad for the bearings but also bad for your lungs...we would inevitably all have a raspy cough after each game from breathing so hard with dust coming up from the wheels/court. Rink Lung. They eventually got some sort of commercial buffer vacuum thing and would 'zambonie' the court before each game. The other was that it would shred our wheels pretty quickly...some of us rotated before every game to make them last longer.
Wow, that was not easy to play outdoors for Arizona. I am sure the result was same for anywhere for skaters skating outdoors. Outdoor games or just skating. Never skate on concrete sidewalks! They are much rougher than a smooth concrete with polyurethane and paint coats on. Those sidewalks and concrete courts outdoors are very rough to prevent people from slipping on wet surface. Those rough grounds can tear the wheels. And never skate when ground is wet. I experienced that by skating on both dry and wet surfaces and I slipped on wet surface and oh! I was all wet and yucky and had some cuts elsewhere on my body! Don't be stupid, skaters. Wait till it is dry and best on rollercourt outdoors!
This is why many indoor rinks do not accept outdoor skates because of stones or pieces of concrete/asphalt would be embedded in the wheels then it affect their beautiful six figure expensive Maple wood floor.
But those guys had a ball I can tell in his email! Awesome guys!
The Rink Sports Center was opened sometimes before their final location. The for sale and sold dates was in 2007 on Loop Net showed me it was sold in 2007. Google Map informed that because it says Grand Opening for this boat dealership. Aww, Google Map just missed the chance to take pic of the rink before that.
What surprised me that there was a boat dealer at the former skating rink. In Arizona. Sure a very few lakes but it did not take long because I believe that Arizona is a desert state that it is landlocked (not even have Pacific Ocean at their door step and cross the border with Mexico - the Gulf of Baja.
The Rink was a name for a time or nickname for The Rink Sports Center. It was housed in a large 31,090 Square Feet building! Pretty large one. Clearly, they had the NHL sized rink for Roller Hockey and indoor football (soccer). They may have focused on those two activities rather than a public skating.
The Interior.
The original was just basketball courts by the ASU dormitories for about two years. Then relocate to the North McClintock lot where Enterprise rentals is located now. It was outdoors again.
Final location was at the South Dobson with 31,090 Square Feet building. It had NHL-sized rink for roller hockey and futbol (football you call Soccer). (I was told by people IN Central America with their anger realizing I am an American why call it "Soccer" They said Futbol in Spanish and they reinterpreted it in to English its FOOTBALL. They are right, because I tell you that that ball is mostly moved around with their feet, not the US version that NFL plays. That I had to rename the NFL sport, Passball because most of the time quarter back passes the ball to next player with his arm. Only times the US version uses their feet were to kick off each half of the game-the start, and after halftime. They also kick to the next team. The other part they use kick the ball is to make 3-point field goal. It is not 100 percent usage. So, hence I call the US version, Passball. I am trying to spread the sports-corrected names.
Anyway, back to this, they had likely stands for people to watch players play. I am not sure.
