Rink name unknown "F" Jamestown, OH. The abandoned roller rink. This was the location of a machine shop that went out of business and the building was sold on 3 January 2019. It was sold just for 1,000 USD! CHEAP! Just it needed a lot of TLC to the building (total gutted and remodeled). Dang! I wish I could bought it. I LOVE brick buildings and turn into a loft. Rink name unknown "F" 11 S. Limestone St, Jamestown, OH
Rink name unknown "F" Jamestown, Ohio was a roller rink without a street and without a name. It was found on Facebook in a group called Remembering Ohio Roller Skating Rinks of the Past and Present. Someone took pictures of the 2nd floor of the former rink. Name was not provided but said where.
Few minutes later after I finished this, I found the location. It was on 11 South Limestone Street, Jamestown, Ohio. It was in a nice Brick-Veneer building that appeared.
The Interior.
It was a small rink with non-painted Maple floor on the second floor of this building. The total square footage is 14,840 but that counts both floors. The roller rink was on second floor and another business on ground floor. So, that comes to 7,420 Square Feet. That was small.
The Exterior.
The exterior is a Bricks Walled storefront like building with Gambrel roof.
The Stats:
Rink Size: Appeared to be small rink. Floor: Non-painted Maple. Floor Layout: FAN.
Building Size: 14,840 SF (both floors total). Built: 1900. Renovations: NMany times. Demolished: Still standing.
Type of Building: Free-Span Steel Trusses Bricks (Likely) - Walled Multistory storefront-like Building.
Roof: Gambrel
Acres: N/A.
Operated: (Overall)-- N/A.
Reason for Closure: N/A.
Wanted: Information regarding exact dates of open/closed, why closed, size of rink, rink materials. Also photos/articles. Anyone knows or have photos, please let me know by emailing at [email protected]. Thank you. You can also use this form.
