This rink, Rick's Rollarena or known as Rick's Roll-Arena was held at 9000 North Garnett Road in Owasso, Oklahoma. However, when they closed or sold, it became Owasso Skate Center. I hardly have any information of the former rink however, only I found connected to Rick's was the the owners who met when they were working at that rink in 1983. That pinpointed roughly when Rick's was around. Owasso Skate Center came later apparently.
The address is what I got but on Videopardise, the list they have from 1990s, showed that Rick's was at 9000 Mingo Valley Expressway North, Owasso, Oklahoma. That was not possible because that was a super highway so I throw that address out. It seem to be at 9000 North Garnett Road according to several lists I have.
This will be updated.
The name Rick's Rollerena is sometimes spelled as Rick's Roll-Arena or even Rick's Rollarena. Different results I see in websites and search. All one and the same because of how reporters hear the owners say in his accent. Or how it was typed up on the computer or whatever.
Anyway, apparently Rick's was around in 1980s and 1990s so the Owasso Skate Center was likely after that and folded and now its a retail store there. Not sure if that was the right place either. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Because of this result of two people who worked at Rick's they brought back roller skating in the same town, literally up the road from the old Owasso Skate Center is the modern looking building called, Wheels and Thrills.
