Redwing Rollerway, 2632 Decker Boulevard, Columbia, SC The bottom picture showed after the rink was sold, a warehouse company bought it and changed slightly to the sign by removing the skates off the sign. Truly sad. After that, it became a church but now the building is up for sale once again this year according to CBRE. And Loopnet. Yes, bathroom sinks WERE OUTSIDE of the restrooms! Redwing Rollerway 2632 Decker Boulevard, Columbia, SC. After they closed, it became KNC Trading which is now no longer. Taken in 2015. It is currently a church.
Redwing Rollerway 2632 Decker Boulevard, Columbia, SC. iGloria de Dios! Iglesia en espanol en E.E.U.U. Cencro Crisciano. My translator says it is Italian. It appears Spanish to me. I checked both translators. Both does not know what it translate to. I easily can translated with my own eyes. A gift I have. It means Christian Central. AD with that logo. It ts Assembly of God Church. The rest translated as.. "Compartiendo el amor y la gracia de Dios." means "Partake in the Love and the grace of God." Again, my own eyes translating. Pastores means Pastors. Servicios -- Services. Miercoles -- Wednesday and Domingo -- Sunday. Facil, correcto, mi amgios y amigas? Si. Now they are rolling for God spiritually.

Redwing Rollerway was a rink behind 2 eatery on this road in Columbia, South Carolina. It was pretty hidden with a big white gable roof warehouse like building. Very plain looking but has very interesting front door area with a gable canopy. It appeared to be steps and may not have handicapped accessible ramp. Might be hidden but if not. Oops! ADA violations. I cant tell in the photos. So, can't really say.
Anyway, this rink had red fonts which made sense for the namesake, Redwing Rollerway. It was splashed on one side and the other says Roller Rink with the front doors in between. It had Red paint trimmed around the glass doors and windows in center.
The interior was very colorful. It had bold colors of Canary Yellow, Big Heart Red, and Chalkboard Black with several simple mural-like on there with persons skating on the wall. It was built with cinder blocks. It appeared to be very spacious. The rink floor appeared to be White Concrete.
It had two large diamond balls according to this article from Columbia Closing website. The rink finally closed in 2008 and was up for sale because of the owner's death and the reason was because of an estate contest in court between the widow and the owner's son and they had to sell his assets including the rink. The rink was running well and had customers attending. It was not losing money at all. It was money making but the bitter estate contest in court which evidently killed the rink's business because no one wanted to buy the rink.
Up front, it was that classic 1950s style sign with red frame sign with white background for lettering to change. Also it had two pairs of skates facing each other with wings on it. Again, that is why the name of the rink. The sign and the name sounded very 1950s. However, it was built in 1981 and operated since. But from commenters in that website I just mentioned said it was there for long time.
After it was closed, it was a distributer warehouse then it became a church and now its up for sale again in June 2019. Apparently it was for sale three times in eleven years span. Can it be rebooted rink again? I doubt it because the photos showed the floor was removed. And everything else removed such as the diamond ball, stereo equipment, speakers, bathroom sinks ripped out, It is in a sad state since.
Clearly the rink closed at a high note.
