Rainbo Palace Roller Rink 1290 7th St, Fennimore, WI (STILL OPERATIONAL)
This rink has no history online as I attempted to research however, the rink is still shown on Google Map as it is dated as 2013. I wish Google can allow you see old maps and photographs! That way I can use to photograph old rinks and put it on here! Great idea. Well, in this case, I have with this rink.
You may thought I misspelled Rainbo instead of Rainbow. The photograph of the sign proved my point that it was spelled as Rainbo. It has a rainbow on the sign though. Perhaps not to be confused with another Rainbow Palace elsewhere. (There is one in Florida for example).
I do not know when it first opened. Yellow Pages said it is closed for good which is in error.
Facebook has a profile page for this rink however, the last post was in 2019. They did not update even during COVID. The person who wrote me told me more to the story. The couple are not into high technology and they get enough business locally that it IS a real Mom-and-Pop enterprise that they rely on word of mouth and sometimes announcement or advertise in a local newspaper. I attempted to find an ad but to no available as perhaps the newspaper only worked for some articles to be displayed.
The exterior has Brick Red bricks and Brick Red faux front wall since it is gable roof format. It sits in a corner in this small town with limited parking. The interior has an Asian feel to it. Lots of Redness with Lime Green, and Black on the walls and they appeared to be padded walls like you would find in your high school and/or college gyms. I am not sure about the padding though.
They have "disco" lights but they were actually plug in Christmas lights on the ceilings. A few configurations are decorated upon the ceilings. And of course a Diamond ball.
The rink itself has unusual design. It is not the normal straight line along with skating. It is lay differently that you would have to skate over bunch of studs in different direction. They do have a line cross the middle of the floor. Likely it is set up for volleyball. Given to the size of the rink, it is almost the size of a volleyball court. Just larger than the court though. And yes, the diamond ball is there.
The snack bar area has plastic chairs. Perhaps it was made by the former plastic chair company, Syroco in Baldwinsville, NY. Perhaps a different manufacturer made in China. But who knows.
Red tables. Everything in red! All red interior, well some, and exterior!
UPDATE!
Someone emailed me today on 05 July 2021 that they did close temporarily during COVID lockdown but they are now opened only on Fridays. I still have not seen any proof that they are open. Google search engine did not say they are closed. Yelp does and Yellow Pages too but we will need second confirmation and I will follow up as soon as possible that they are actually open. It is highly recommend they do have a website and a Facebook page to be very updated. This is why this rink was listed as Gold/Yellow font because It is questionable. Red means unknown completely any information on a dead rink. Black means newly listed dead rink and has not been updated into a profile or get information. This is different. I see last time for their Facebook is in 2019. This is middle of 2021 (at time of writing). If you are a skater in that area, please encourage the owners, Dixie and Howard Miles to update their Facebook since it is free. Website, it cost money but like with Dead-Rinks, its not paid.
The walking score is 71 which is quite good. The neighborhood is excellent to have a rink.
I found more information. It said that they registered the business in June 2006. It may have been longer or a different owner. I do not know and again, I like said about how they are not being public with advertisement and lack of Facebook. Twitter too or IG or whatever. I only got one email but needs more.
Interior:
The interior has a cute appearance. Yes, some more Redness to match outside. However the strips on the wall, all vertical are quite colorful. At least it is Orange, Lime Green, and Pitch Black. Those are Halloween colors.

It is a Gable Roofed Free-Span Steel Trusses Steel and Bricks Walled Warehouse like building all in Red. Even the steel walls.
It sits on a tight 0.1600 of an acre. It is in-town with other commercial buildings in the neighborhood. Street parking is necessary because they do not have any off-street parking.
Rink Size: N/A. Floor: Clear coated polyurethane coat Maple floor Floor Layout: Oddly laydown of wood-sideways instead of continuation line of studs.
