This was taken in 2008. This was likely Rainbow Skate Center because of the arched name. Or it could have been R & R Skateland because Rainbow logo was different.
This was Rainbow Skate Center with newer logo put on the wall above the awing. This photograph was repaired due to a blurry where the word Center toward right. I fixed the walls and posts and light. Photoshopped by Dead-Rinks.
A couple of close ups for Rainbow Skate Center. The before and after 2017. You noticed the sign for the rainbow is missing in second photograph after 2017. Apparently the owner of Rainbow Skate center sold it but removed the name since it was not his when he bought it. Courtesy of a skater on image search for each one.
The Welcome to Rainbow Skate Center sign. I love this creaivity. It does remind me of 1960-ish graphics in modern times. What really attracted me to is the fonts. I am also a fan of fonts. I love different creative fonts. I will see if I can answer your question here what they are. For Welcome, that is colligate font. Colleges, high school use them. Rainbow is sort of curative or flair font that was common in 1960s and 1970s. Skate Center font is unknown but I have seen them. It was common in 1950s-60s. The bottom was also common in 1950s to 160s. I do not know. Sorry. Anyone know what they are? Courtesy of a skater on Image search.
The Facebook announcement of their retirement and closing the rink. They completely closed in October selling off everything. Apparently the new owner wanted it for something else. God bless you too and congratulations on your retirement, Gary and Janice! Source: Facebook.

First came R & R Skateland. I attempted to find information regarding R & R Skateland but no avail however, tons about Rainbow Skate Center. Clearly R & R Skateland was around first. This was at 4311 Wildwood Road in Moss Point, Mississippi.
When it was Rainbow Skate Center, they even had fireworks to sell. Wow, fireworks!? Some states legalize that. But I never heard of a skating rink sells them or even use them. Perhaps this is one of a kind.
R & R Skateland began sometimes before Rainbow Skate Center which was established in 2008 according to Dun & Bradstreet.
the building was sold on June 9, 2017. Apparently slowly lead toward going went out of business by October 2020. They sold the business part but new owners are not going to keep it as a rink and the Vickers sold off everything else in October.
Rainbow Skate Center was owned and managed by Kenneth Gary Vickers and his wife Janice.
The Interior.
What I love the most for the interior.. well two of them. The very popular color block walls. Many rinks has or had those. I love the look. Still can be 2020s look although it was 2010s look. But what really catches the eyes is the rainbow on a cloud on the floor. It is their logo for their namesake, Rainbow Skate Center. It was 18,408 Square Foot interior.
I believe that floor is Concrete and painted Navy Ship Gray with Cloud White and colorful rainbow.
It is beautifully designed inside that I wish they kept open. I do not know why they closed. Oh well.
The Exterior.
Both R & R Skateland and Rainbow Skate Center both had Red trim on the upper part as it was Royal Blue. Those colors reminded me of a certain superhero with the red cape. They have two buildings, one of them is for the rink, of course, and the other is a 3 vehicle garage which is a storage and "store" for their fireworks. Perhaps open during summer months and close during skating sessions.
