Both courtesy of Google Map. The rink in business in 2009 followed by something else in 2015. After it was sold, clearly the owner renovated both buildings and the parking lot. I also noticed something else. Some trees were gone behind the house-like garage building on the right in the newer picture compared to the older photos.
Courtesy of Loop Net. What were you thinking, Loop Net!? Cut off the rink building in the good photo. Very sharp, clean crisp digital photograph back then compared to Google Map! And still, you cut it off!? Tsk tesk! Unfortuantely that is all I could find online these days.
Prattville Roller Skating Rink 935 North Memorial Drive Prattville, AL
Prattville Roller Skating Rink 935 North Memorial Drive Prattville, Alabama.
According to Manta, Thomas Boyett started the rink in 1997. But Rink Time said it began in 1984. Which is which? Was it different ownership in 1984 and then Thomas Boyett bought it and operated in 1997? We do not know but something like that. Anyone know? I would go for the 1984 according to RT because if that is what the website owner made that or the owner did that fill out.
After the rink was sold in 2011 after it was put up for sale on July 25, 2011. Likely that was the year it closed for good.
The rink had Prattville Zumba Fitness At The Roller Rink likely during same time as the rink or after the rink closed.
Skaters and parents were even trying to save the rink. Sound familiar? They had a Facebook page regarding the salvation of the rink but I am sure they failed.

They said on Loop Net that the estate was settled. Likely the owner passed away.
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
Gable-roofed Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled Warehouse Building. They had Dark Gray with Violet color trims with the name of the rink on the right side of the wall as the door was on the left side of the wall at front end of the building. Their parking lot were all dirt and ground looked disorganized along with next door that had a very poor architectural looking building.
After the rink was sold in 2011, the building was painted to Tan color to brighten up. Next door, it was improved Gable for both main part and the front extension. Looks a lot better and more modern than the old poor design that looks like a hundred years old. Now half of its age for that next door. The parking lot is now all stone gravel.
However, the 6 acres of land has improved. Likely both buildings were part of the joint on the same property. No wonder it has same postal address and the photographer took pictures of both in a very bad way. See above for Loop Net's horrible photograph cutting off the rink.
