The Zone Skate Center 611 Sheridan Ave, Dalton, GA. This is when it was The Zone. Clean crisp design on the logo and the fonts used on the sign. Easy to read the logo. The rest.. the Skate Center and phone number are bit hard to read when you are driving. I think that is for when you stop and get that number to call. Courtesy of Google Maps.
OZone Skate Center 611 Sheridan Ave, Dalton, GA. This was the OZone. Yes, it seemly to spell as O-Z-o-n-e. In reference to OZ in the Wizard of OZ penned by Frank Baum who lived for a short time at a farm house exactly on the property before it burned down and it became the former Sports-O-Rama Roller Rink in Mattydale, NY located where I skated at in the 1980s and 1990s. It was possible but I do not know or we will not know. Courtesy of Google Maps.

Whew, what a list of all former rinks' names (some were just another name) and the current one, Ozone Skate Center.
This rink is a long time rink since it was built in 1978 and it is just that some had names changed because some were sold to another rink operator. Or something like that.
Upon my research for Peaches and Roller Disco, I could not find any information. Likely Roller Disco was first because of the name "Disco" was used and Disco era ended by 1986 according to Billboard charts through the years. Likely Roller Disco was in 1970s. Maybe 1980s as well. Then Peaches Skate Center occurred because of Skating Fitness website listed that rink's name in 1990s. That website has list most likely from 1990s. Rarely updated.
Then after that, it was The Zone and Ozone.
UPDATE! -- 02 June 2023.
I received an email from the manager of this rink as Playland Roller Skating Zone. Yes, Zone was kept in this carnation of operations as it was The Zone and OZone used to be. Here is exactly what he has to say. Of course, edited for this site.
...[T]he building was built in 1978 and started out as Roller Disco and then in the 90's under the same owners it changed names to [P]eaches which lasted up until 2003 when it changed hands to the owners of The Zone/Zone Skate Center. Later it changed hands again and became Ozone Skate Center then changed hands over our new management now called Playland Roller Skating Zone. We have had it since December of 2022 and have made vast improvements on the property.
There you have it. More accurate order of rinks. So, the Zone/Zone Skate Center had a varitations of name. We all say names of places as nickname or varations. I am sure Playland Roller Skating Zone has a nickname maybe just Playland or Playland Zone or even still call it Zone because it went through name changes few times but held on Zone. Just maybe.
The Interior.
Since I have no pictures of the rink when it was Peaches and Roller Disco, I will describe what it is now as The Zone/Ozone...
It has very much of black-light appearance. Their carpet is very colorful in black light neon colors that a photo I saw really gets yo to see it shines from the floor against dark walls.
The pendants has globe lights with different colors.
The roller floor has Polyurethane coat and its clear. It has hardwood Maple floor with fan layout on each end corners.
The Exterior.
Since I do not have photos of the exterior when it was Peaches and Roller Disco, I have to use what The Zone and Ozone used. Pretty much basically the same Gable roof Free-Span Steel Truss Steel Walled Warehouse-like Building.
When it was The Zone, the walls were Cloud White with Orange-Red Brick colored bricks by the admission section of the front of the rink. Unfortunately I could not get that side because Google Map only shows the side and because the front is facing the parking lot of an automobile dealership although you can drive and park in the front of the rink building.
The logo was Red font. But the Ozone changed colors into the Blues and Green. The same with the building. It is part of the Graying of America look. Medium Gray or Navy Ship Gray on the building with Lime or Arctic Green color trim. Sadly, they painted the bricks Gray. I prefer natural brick colors but that is what the owner(s) wanted.

Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. I provide what information from other websites, skaters, and operators and it may end up with different results between two (or more) sources. It is not our responsible for errors we caused. All sources are shown on each page. All opinions and statements of mine are also stated and are for purely educational entertainment only.
Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
