Photo courtesy of Google Map. Dated September 2013 of what once was Parkway Rollercade. There are no photos of the Rollercade interior or exterior so this is all I have for now.
Parkway Rollercade, 208 5th S., Miles City, MT
Parkway Rollercade was in Miles City that housed this rink in a Gabled roofed building. It has that faux facade in the front to appear larger but it showed quite clear that it is gabled. It was built in 1920s as it did appear to be from that area by seeing the photos on Flickr and Google Map. The building was merely 62 feet wide making this rink rather small with a narrow street. The photographer who remembered this rink said the interior ceiling was as he called it, "barrel" although the roof on outside was none other than Gable. It had no posts or supports which made the rink entirely its own during the time.
Likely it was Maple wood because of when it was operational. The building originally was built for a car dealership ended up a a roller rink then many other businesses come and go in this same location. The photographer who took pictures (I did not use his, just Google Map), it was a tanning place with small appliance-and-furniture store. Both of them are gone. Now on Google Map, it is now a computer repairs shop and an real estate office. That was dated in September 2013. Unfortunately, I do not know what is there now.
Thanks to the measurement of the width of 65 feet wide, the building appeared to be 135 feet long. The rink has to be 100 feet by 65 feet providing that the rink itself reach wall to wall.
I have no idea what it was originally like because there are no photographs of this former rink.
Anyone has ideas about when it was operational? Photographs?
