Ozzy's Sports Fun Center 5411 Pottsville Pike, Leesport, Pennsylvania was an entertainment center including roller rink. It also had Laser Tag, Roller Skating, Inflatable Center, Adventure Challenge, Sports Arena, Rock Climbing, Ropes Course, 30 Hole Miniature Golf, Bumper Boats, Go-Karts, Video Batting Cages, and even an Ice Tubing Slide (Winter season only), but that's still not all. Ozzy's also has an arcade and great food at the Funster's Café. With a variety of indoor and outdoor attractions. Skate World was once a rink name at this location as well.
Family Gran Prix was original name for this entertainment center before it became Ozzy's Sports Fun Center.
Unfortunately due to the Great Virus Lockout of 2020-2022, Ozzy's could never recover so it was sold in August 2021 to a snowplow business. For sure the weekend of MLK Jr 2022, it gained a lot of business selling plows due to much snow happening in the East Coast.
Since the Lockdown was announced, the rink had to close and never reopened for 17 months so it was sold. The former entertainment center was sold for a pricy 3 US Million Dollars. They did however reopened very briefly but it was never recovered to its grand level of business so they shut down for good.
Previously named Family Grand Prix and best known for its go-kart racing, the facility underwent an aggressive expansion beginning in the late 90’s.
During the 2000s, the business rebranded as Ozzy’s Family Fun Center to reflect the addition of laser tag, a roller skating rink, athletic courts, ropes course and an indoor playground to its existing amusements — go-karts, miniature golf, bumper boats, batting cages, arcade games and snack bar.
The Interior.
Family Gran Prix: Originally it was smaller and fewer activities but did not include roller skating. Not until they expanded in late 1990s. By 2000s, they did include roller skating rink to their entertainment center. go-karts, miniature golf, bumper boats, batting cages, arcade games and snack bar.
Ozzy's Sports Fun Center: With Ozzy's, it was a rebranded to expand as full-fedging entertainment center with 57,000 plus square feet. addition of laser tag, a roller skating rink, athletic courts, ropes course and an indoor playground
The Exterior.
Both brands had the exterior looked very similar. It was very unusual looking facility. It was all raised complex with open space below the main complex. Everything indoors were on upper level above the ground. With the photos, it is hard to tell if they had anything under those building! Was it outdoors mini golf under the building? Go-karting were clearly outdoors and in the rear of the building. You see, the property was shaped like an Arrow.
