Okee Skateway, 80 SE 31st Lane, Okeechobee, FL
O K Skateway, with that correct spelling was a rink in none other than Okeechobee, Florida which lies just north of Lake Okeechobee, the biggest lake in Florida. The rink was in business by registered with the state on July 25, 1986. It apparently opened that year but went out of business on August 25, 1995. There are no photos available. it ran only about 9 years. Someone must have photos! The rink was owned by Jo Ann Zeller and Juli Zeller.
I only have a photo of the next owner of that property, Water Advanced Technologies, a technical company. The building must be white when the rink was in business. The area was quite unusual to place a rink. It was behind a motel and next door to a private RV park.
The rink appeared small when observing the photo thanks to the vehicles shown in the Google Map.
