Google Map. This was a rink at one time. No sign seen in the 2007 photo. They must have operated but never had the sign up which was quite odd because they folded in 2013.

Minor Hill Skate Center/Minor Hill Skating Rink was located at 280 Salem Road, Minor Hill, Tennessee. It was established on January 1, 1991 by Owners, Garner and Juanita Lawrence and managed by Ray Lawrence and later, Kenneth Lawrence. Family owned, operated, and managed.
They even had dine in/dine out restaurant for customers who were not there for skating and just pick up meals to take home. Skating rinks should have done this while COVID lockdowns because snack bars are considered in my opinion, restaurants like fast food. Hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, pizza, you name it, that was the case all rinks since March 2020 to have such take out only/delivery only. It would have worked well to compete and stay alive. Minor Hill Skate Center was onto something way before Covid came along. This is the concept I was thinking if I was to open a rink is to have another door just directly to outside for food take outs. I think maybe 3 rinks or 4 had restaurants in same building that has direct door to outside BUT they were not part of the rink per se. Just happened to have as tenants in the same building but a section cut off. So, they should have done was to open both ends of the restaurant. Besides that, you can offer more food or even lease a space to a restaurant that would be the official restaurant of the rink that can save you money in long run because it is separate operations! Think about that, owners. I thought of this for a while. You see, restaurants usually open by 9 in morning and closes at 1 in morning. Rinks are like...every other day open at 7pm to 10pm. You will make more money with the restaurant open at all times. And put arcade games IN the restaurant take out part as well to make money from quarters eaters were waiting. Be creative!
