All of Yelp. Various of photographers. Note, the bottom two photos are updated look of the rink without the name on the wall outside and the new Dark Blue stripe as the inside showed Arctic Cat Green and Arctic Cat Purple colors for the entrance hall. What you could not see is the 4 doors for the exit, the entrance is a two door on far end of left wall in the photo next to the admission window behind the Red Brick half wall. That appearance looked real fresh lasting colors since that color was popular in early 1990s. Blue is in now. However, it does not translate freshness with the Blue for the admission section of the building.
Those bottom two are from Facebook.

Milford Skating Center 1 Park Ave, Milford, DE
This rink was in Milford, Delaware on a corner. It was a Blue cinderblock Flat roof building that had a roller rink. Unfortunately I do not have the dates of open and closing. However, the closing looked very recently. The photos in Yelp tells me it was taken in 2013. Yelp commentators have said in early 2010s.
This rink looked very friendly and clean. It appeared very up-to-date. The free standing building they had had columns to support the roof even in middle fo the rink. It had 3 columns and the size reminded me of Empire Skates East where I skated as teenager. I sure miss Empire in DeWitt, NY. Anyway, this rink had much thinner column than Empire though. And beautiful Clear Polyurethane coated Maple wood floor but it was log cabin shaped. The half-walls were all concrete. Some of it was Blue which also reminded me of Empire with same color and cinderblocks built.
They had back walls very clear Offish-White wall that made me want to paint murals on. That was the feeling however, I think they had something going on at one time they actually did paint the walls but I am not sure.
The lights on the ceiling over the rink were "Flying Sacuers" or "UFO" lights with a diamond ball of course.
They did paint the end wall where the rink was with a blast-like mirror glass shattered with a skater on there. Very complex for a muralist to do that to carefully not to paint whole person. Maybe they did paint whole person on skates and then paint over the lines. Clever. This deserve to be noticed. However, on Facebook, the photo is slightly blurred. Oh well.
Hey, leave those blurred photos to Bigfoot and UFOs! haha.
The snack bar area had tables with very popular and common Yellow Formica tops. I found in pictures which appeared to be still new and clean. With yellow, it can get dirty or scratched easily. Think skates and skate metal boxes can scratch it! Yikes!
The size of the place felt very comfortable with much spacious interior without clutter. Some rinks I noticed are but this one very clean spacious that this should have been ongoing however, they closed in 2016 I think. I am waiting for results from the owners through Facebook.
I love the colors which felt heavier 1990s colors including Arctic Cat Green, Arctic Cat Purple, Offish White, and more. From seeing in photos, they could have lasted throughout to 2030s.
The original in 1982, although I do not have color photos, the newspaper described it had Yellow walls with Red and Orange band around the rink. Many of the Charles Wahligs' owned rink began with those horizontal band around the rink. Usually change colors as the years go by. (He also owned Christiana, Elsmere, and a rink in Dover.)
They are currently looking for a new location. They had to close because of the lease would increase 4 fold. It would be too expensive. They had to close once in 2013 due to the Hurricane hit in Northeast US (Hurricane Sandy).
You will notice the rink had changed exterior colors quite a bit. G-Map showed 3 different generations from 2008, 2012, and 2015 with 3 different colors. The 2008 had Lighter Moody Blue then the 2012 had Sand and the 2015 was back to Blue and Dark Blue horizon band. The original doors were Red in 1982 according to an article. But did not say what color the building was.
The opening night in June 1982 was Christian Night and they had a very low turnout of just 20 people skating! Milford, the town wanted a rink so Charles Wahlig said OK and he had it opened there but he thought maybe it was wrong time because considering June is the time children are already having summer time with summer break from schools and also families and adults are vacationing around the country or world during summertime. Slowly it was picked up and it did last all that time till 2016! They never gave up.
There was a controversy related to the closing according to WBOC news website that there were blaming some people. Looks like 4 years later, there is no rink in Milford. It has come to an end for sure. Or not?
