Melody Rink 1627 S. Hillside Street, Wichita, KS. This was only illustration of the rink at the time. No photographs I know of so far. Anybody? You may noticed, "Harry" is the side street to the rink.

Melody Rink 1627 S. Hillside Street, Wichita, KS. Noticed it was Mattress Mart in 2007 then it became Farha Heating Company. Nice mascot. Isn't that Frosty the Snowman as a company spokesperson/mascot? Yes, it is him, I believe! Haha. Source: Google.
Melody Rink 1627 S. Hillside Street, Wichita, KS
There is barely any information on Melody Rink that was in Wichita, Kansas. All I found often were their sticker. Even when I was researching other rinks in Kansas, I kept finding Melody Rink stickers. Then I finally found one other link.. about the owner who co-owned it with his brother.
Virgil B. Sander co-owned the rink with his brother, Orville Sander. They both also owned Hillside Feed & Seed store for farmers.
Thanks to someone who cleared it up. It was the name of the street. East Harry Street. I had to zoom out from top view and I saw the name. But it was not that very corner where this huge building was before the drug store took over.
There are no information on dates of opening. But has information on built which was in 1944 according to Realty Trac. But if the Sanders opened it, it might have been in 1944 because Virgil was in the service during World War II and his role was fulfilled. Thank you for defending the Constitution of the United States and our faith in our LORD Jesus Christ, Virgil and God bless you!
This means it began in late 1940s till whenever we do not know they closed. It is all quiet on the net. Anyone? Know when, what happened to it, exact dates, material on the floor, sizes of rink and building? I have the size of present day expansion. Not the original.
The Interior.
N/A. Currently the building is at 10,367 SF but that was add on. it may have been about 9000 SF interior space at the time. That is considered small by standards. I went right to work on topgraphical measurement or survey the building using scale on Google. The rink originally was 9,177 Square Feet and the additional was 70 feet by 17 up front (1,190 SF).
The Exterior.
it was a simple Cinderblock built Gable roof building that had 1930s feel to it. The glass might have been glass blocks built into it and the doors had rounded windows. Truly a type of Art Deco in standard appearance of this building. The font for the logo was the same on the sticker as it was on the sign. Likely that was the style. It brings to date to around early 1940s. My discovery after that, I was correct. It was built in 1944, at the height of WWII.
The front façade was a fake to hide that gable roof look.
They added the front after the rink closed for sure. It became something, then a furniture store, then now, a HVAC and roofing company.

Rink Size: N/A. Floor: N/A. Floor Layout: N/A.
Building Size: Original was 9,177 SF, then added 1,190 SF bringing to total of 10,367 SF (current) Built: 1944. Demolished: Still standing.
