Mcbride's Skating Center 326 Tekel Rd. Lake Charles, LA. Taken in April 2014. Truly looked like a long time abandoned! One of the owners passed away in early 2010s and Willie is 97 (This was written in the year 2020) and he is still alive! A tree grow big sort of blocking the canopy, more trees grew on the side of the property yet the grass still cut! parking lot overtake the parking lot. Source: Google.

Mcbride's Skating Center 326 Tekel Rd. Lake Charles, LA. Close up of front door and canopy. The author of this picture told me he is 40 years old and this rink was not in operations in his life. This means they closed BEFORE he was born. He wished to skate there. Source: D.D.

Mcbride's Skating Center was a rink on 326 Tekel Rd. Lake Charles, Louisiana. It no longer exist. Even worse is not much information for me to add such as in real estate part or anything. Name came from my sources of list. And only a Google Map photo of truly run down rink. McBride's Roller Disco was an other name they had for this rink.
I found the possibility of a McBride who owned this rink thanks to the address for the rink matched to the owner, Hazel McBride who was listed in Yellow Pages. She co-owned the rink with husband Willie McBride. I found this connection thanks to Find a Grave website. In fact, I see no obituary yet for Willie J. McBride. He is 97 years old (in year 2020) and still alive! Wow! Guys, SKATE! They will keep you healthy! Great for your heart!
Google Map does not have anything newer than 2014. But the internet are saying it is a church now. I do not see it in the search but in real estate websites, it said they are. I have no true proof it is a church now. Anyone?
UPDATE! -- 07 June 2022.
I received an email. I thought so that it did not turn into church. I read it online and that is what I thought. I do not know why the internet said so. It was wrong.
Here is what he has to say--
Hey man not a lot of update on McBrides but it is just a derelict building now, totally run down. I’m standing in the circle drive as I write this because I walk my dog there.
There were some pictures in Facebook a few years ago of the inside and it had a bunch of old arcade cabs and ruined chairs and such that had just been left. It’s been through three hurricanes since then. The front door has been pried open a few times and never checked on. Someone still keeps the lot mower but I’ve never seen them.
It is in fact not a church. The building across the street is an elementary school. There was an under 18 club next door for a while but it got shut down from rampant drugs and underage drinking after a couple years. That’s about all I have for you but I know some people at work that remember when it was open.
Thank you D.D. for your information. Much helpful. I figured it was not a church there at one time. I found that on the net but was not sure.
Yes, it is cross the street from the elementary school. Common for rinks to be near a school. Easy to walk over! I tried to search on Facebook about this rink but no information. They must have closed it or deleted it. Oh well. I tried image search. Nothing. McKayla isnt impressed by Google not showing any other information and images.
The Interior.

The Exterior.
Free-Span Steel Truss Tan colored Steel-Walled Warehouse Building with Gable roof. It even had Red canopy on the right side of the front. It does look like a common Stardust / Starlite Skate Center design.
According to the old Google Map photo, it showed just a turn around path from enter to exit through under the canopy. there is no paved parking lot at all. No wonder a business cross the street has a sign painted on the road saying, "NO PARKING" Apparently not to park on that side of the road with some private business across from the former rink.
