Courtesy of Wicked Local. Paul Pelland (Center) posed for the newspaper photograph with his family. His wife, Phyllis stands on his left. The three other people are his children.
Courtesy of Google Map. This is today's appearance of the bar/restaurant. You can tell the old rink building is still there. Look carefully at the Gable roof canopy. I know bushes covered up the doors in this angle. But anyway, I measured and it is the same tall section as it was for the rink. Those windows replaced the original and they appeared to increased slightly higher roofline on those walls and the Forest Olive Green walls (see on right) is where the former rink. Same height. Same size. Over on the left side in photo appeared to be a dealership.

Originally Vin Cohee purchased Daniel Webster Estate. This Daniel Webster IS NOT well known. Names tend to be connected to someone famous but this one was just another Daniel Webster. Heck, there is a Daniel Webster in my family. But his last name was a Gridley. So, this Daniel Webster was not connected to the dictionary. It was NOAH Webster, the author of dictionary. Anyway...
The first rink was on Webster Street as it has been listed in order of succession. The Pain Street was the relocation.
Vincent Cohee purchased it and turn into Camp Daniel Webster but two years later, he built the rink on the property and then on Sunday, 1 AM, Dec 7th 1958, had a fire.
But in 1966, Vincent sold the rink to Paul Pelland. Paul was a skating instructor at the original rink. Made sense to sell to him to continue the rink so Paul can teach at the time.
Later, Paul retired in 1982 and handed over to his three children to operate the rink only till 1985 whey they closed. They closed for good on Sunday, June 2, 1985.
After it was sold, a few restaurants come and go and in 2012, this one even had a display only remaining part of the rink was this red staff jacket. I am not sure if they are still there but you can check it out at the restaurant. That restaurant is a bar-restaurant called Cask & Flagon. Both names are not people's names but name of containers for liquids. Read about Cask & Flagon and go there to see what the place was like in your imagination when you are inside. And they proudly display the jacket as it said on their website.

The Interior.
They had Cinderblock walls as I can see in difficult photos with people in it on Facebook. they had White half top walls with a Dark color on bottom half. I am not sure but it might have been Forest Green according to one photo with so many people around. Had that Starburst Light and a Diamond Ball or known as Disco Ball hanging. Very much an average rink design. I will need to see more photos to make the differences.
The Exterior.
The building was very much of a 1950s style architecture that resembled to like a school or a factory or a department store of 1950s. It had 3 different roof levels. The main attraction was in the rear and had its height high enough but the frontage had it lower. Very similar architecture to Sports-O-Rama architecture. And yes, had windows up front. Clearly they were lockers, snack area, pinballs/arcade games, etc.
The centerpiece of the facility was highest of all three levels and this one was pretty much a lot of glass. The front doors, windows on both floors, and some windows on the side. This clearly showed likely the office was housed on the second floor.
The Stats:
Rink Size: N/A. Floor: I think Maple, not sure. Floor Layout: N/A.
Building Size: 16,300 SF. (Original at time might be 14,000 SF, according to Loop Net in 2007) Built: N/A. Demolished: Renovated into a restaurant, still restaurant.
Type of Building: Free-Span Steel Truss Cinderblock-Walled School- like Building.
Roof: Flat.
Acres: 2.0910 Acres.
Operated: 1952 to Sunday June 2, 1985.
Marshfield Roll-A-Rink: 1952 to 1958.
Marshfield Family Skateland: 1960 to Sunday June 2, 1985.
Reason for Closure: N/A.
Marshfield Roll-A-Rink: Likely the fire.
Marshfield Family Skateland: N/A.
