Picture courtesy of Jim Van Orsdol/Udesen Family Collection. I strongly believe that man standing there was Marvin Udesen. Maybe Loraine took the picture.
Courtesy of Lyon County Museum. Uh oh. The flooding... Must be a Spring Thaw/ Spring snow melting.

Courtesy of Lyon County Museum. Another case. The inside. Ah, a few familiar rinks are on the inside wall of the case. Can you name them all?
Marshall Rink 1105 West Main by Tholens, Marshall, MN
Marshall Rink was around in Marshall, Minnesota. It was on 1105 West Main Street by Tholen in Marshall, MN.
It was owned by Marvin and Loraine Udesen. They were related to the owners of Van's Rink and the beautiful Ing Skating Palace.
The museum said it was, supposely next door to the Floor to Ceiling store which the address states as 1107 West Main Street. When I was looking at it. It does look more like that store than the 1105 location. The way the pavement was.
In the photo, I strongly believe that man standing there was Marvin Udesen. I was told yes, it was none other than the very Marvin Udesen.
Said to be around 1940s and 1950s.
Anyone know more about this rink?
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
Beautiful D-Roof that is Arched-Curved building that looked very much like a rink building after all. It had narrow tall windows. Looks like a casing windows.
I am not sure if they had second floor because of the two openings seen on the front of the building above the logo. It may have been vents. They did have furnace coming from the basement as in Minnesota, you have frost so you need basements in the snowbelt.
This is a beautiful clean design. I love the logo designed there really showed its uniqueness that it is like having a wheel but it shaped closely to a horse-shoe with lines cross it. The style of the logo is truly belonged in the Mid-20th Century.
Jim Van Orsdol said the photograph was taken in 1955. The photograph also showed the beautiful Baby Blue colored car that looked like a 1948 to maybe 1952... Anyone know this car?
