Courtesy of Town of Chenango on Facebook. Real barn-like roller rink. This was taken when it was Randall's.
Courtesy of Town of Chenango on Facebook. Real barn-like roller rink. All were being under construction at the time. Appeared 1950s photograph, maybe 1940s. I just discovered those photos and I was right about the extensions they build as expansion later on. You can see the original barn-like were built first. It does show dated on that building then they built the large part for the rink. All wood structure for the Three-Pointed Arch. Not quite Quonset though. Because Quonset is perfectly smooth arch similar to half-Barrel look.
Original newspaper ad on the left but it was small and blurred so I made a replica of the same ad but different fonts (close to it). It was hard to read this blurred ad!
Ebay.
Courtesy of Pinterest. Wow, what a big patch! You can compare that to someone's keyboard! I have exact the same keyboard and that is big. Likely the patch is for putting on the back of the jacket. It was for a team jacket according to the name on there. Randall's Rhythm Rollers.
Both courtesy of USGS and the photos are bit blurred. Sorry about that. You can compare with present day Google Map. The easiest point of same larger building right by the rink on bottom of the right photo above. It still stands in the 2020 aerial photograph. Those two above were taken in 1967.
Google Map. Please do click on map so you can see and move around if you desire. I got clues from what people said about Randall's. Someone said he lived in the trailer park and you can see that on the left. The corner. Then there is a cemetery on the right side of the Prentice Road so that pinpointed to those series of red roofed buildings. It has been burned down so exact spot might be just north of the big red roof building. The road north of Route 12 is Port Road.

Kroboth's Roller Rink 141 Prentice Road, Binghamton, NY
On Route 12 at Front Street, Binghamton, New York, there were two generations of names for this rink: Randall's Roller Rink and Kroboth's Roller Rink. Not much information but they were there. The address I got were from their patches however, according to Town of Chenango Historian, the address was on Prentice Road. Were there another rink? Or the road name changed or what?
There is a popular misconception that Skate Your Date was the name of the rink, no, it was not. It was an event at Randall's according to the ad.
Lyle Randall started and operated Randall's Roller Rink. But Kroboth bought out Randall's in 1984.
I believe Randall's and Kroboth's were named after the owners' last names.
Likely Randall's was first because of the popularity of using stickers from rinks on many skaters' skate cases or boxes. Stickers on cases and luggage in early- and mid- 20th Century people love to put on where they have been to. So, Randall's was the first, followed by Kroboth's.
On Google Map, it shows where 166 Prentice Road is and it is right by Route 12/Front Road. Cross the street from the cemetery. With the creek and trailer park behind it. Right now it is a house and a big barn garage. It was destroyed in the Blizzard of 1993.
Anyone has more information? Please let me know!
The Interior.
Likely Maple wood floor for roller rink.
The Exterior.
Since it is a black and white photo, I do not know what color but perhaps red because the building is a barn-like building. It had Three-Pointed Arch roof design with skirt. It is like a mixture of Three-Pointed Arch with Mansard but basically you see it has an arch rather than a Mansard. The front had different design differently than the main rink section with the Three-Pointed Arch. Likely the original had the exact same arch with the skirt but the add-ons on each side of the smaller extension of the front were Salt-Box roofs. You can see clearly it were add-ons in the photo.
