Korby's Rink-N-Range, 7957 Countryside Lane, Willow River, MN
Willow River Roller Rink, 957 Countryside Lane, Willow River, MN
This rink was in operation for a time although the business related to archery is still in operational. Originally opened in 1973 when Cathy Korby and her husband met at an archery tournament and they fell in love, marry and operated originally as Sunrise Archery Supplies in their home. Then it grew. They moved to a new facility to include roller skating but they downsized to focus on archery again and now it is Korbys Archery It id did not say exactly when the rink opened and closed according to Yelp. It was located next to their residence.
Cathy and her husband, Byron are National and World Champions and are USArchery Coaches.
The rink ran only 2 to 3 years. However, other sites say they were open in 1974 but that was because they were focusing their dba as Sunrise Archery Supplies which was from 1974. If their correct years are found on FB, then that is their correction statement compared to Yelp, and Manta.
Likely the rink opened just a year after the home-based archery supply store first opened according to D and B website. However, not know when they closed.
What more strange was that Willow River Roller Rink was in business at the same location. However, there is no other evidence except this rink was found on Google list that was posted in mid-1990s online. I am unavailable to find more sources. This one was a bit unusual.
