Kendall Park Roller Rink 3550 State Route 27, Kendall Park, NJ. You can tell the ceiling was designed for bowling! They usually have 3 or 4 slants ceiling panels with lights shining toward the pins and the backwall. AOW Corporation did not renovate that part at all and only replace the floor or even relocate the wood from the bowling lanes into rink floor. Usually both segments of sports share a lot of common things: wood floor, and spacious floor. Interesting thought about the painting on the back wall. The shape appeared to be similar to AMF. Was this an AMF bowling alley? This clearly was taken on one of the slowest day they had. Courtesy of Trip Advisor.

Kendall Park Roller Rink which was once an America On Wheels operated rink at 3550 State Route 27 in Kendall Park, New Jersey. This was once owned by an AOW Corporation. This was the final rink to close beyond the dissolution of AOW Corporation that happened in 1986. This was 2017 when they closed for good. Final rink that was once owned AOW to close.
Originally this location was Kendall Park Bowling Lanes but it was operated from 1960 to 1964 when they sold it. Apparently short lived bowling alley. number of lanes were unknown. From the drone view photographs and according to Murray Bowling Construction Guide, page 2, it said to be 20 because 1,000 Square Foot is for every lane. 20,000 Square feet of skating rink, the math comes to 20 lanes.
AOW Corporation first opened this rink in in 1964 and closed in 1988 with Jay Brown managing the rink They finally sold this rink that year, last one to own AFTER the dissolution in 1986 to an investment company called New York Investment Company which bought the rink and leased the business to Cliff Nazzano in the same year.
Cliff Nazzano leased from 1988 to 2002 but he bought the rink from the NY Investment Company that year, 2002 and sold it in 2005 to someone else who finally closed for good in November 2017.
Cliff and Mike Nazzano were managers of the rink from 1988 to 2005.
But Cliff Nazzaro sold the rink to someone and his nephew, Mike became manager of the rink,
The last operator/owner sold it in 2017 because of slow business and it became a small shopping plaza, Haiban Plaza.

Kendall Park Bowling Lanes: The exterior likely had that late 1950s-early 1960s Mid-Century Modern, not Googie's. It may had that Blue Titles or Blue Bricks with White Cinderblocks walls as seen in that first photo on top. Hard to tell because of poor quality of newspaper photo along with being Black-and-White. The reference for that wall was based on the 2005 to closure Retro style in color photos.
