Iskate-81 11440 Grindstone Hill Rd, Greencastle, PA
Iskate-81 11440 Grindstone Hill Road, Greencastle, Pennsylvania. The rink namely after Interstate-81 the highway that runs between the Thousand Islands Bridge in Upstate New York at Wellesley Island, NY/Hill Island, Ontario (Canada) all the way down to Dandridge, Tennessee. The highway is stone throw from Grindstone Hill Road where the former rink is. Currently it is Glenwood Foods at Greencastle.
ISkate-81 was owned by the Leazier Family. David and Patty Leazier and son Dylan operated in the the rink. They operated it from September 2002 to late 2000s. There is a directory from 2008 even mentioned the rink name however, Google does not have an ebook so there is no way I can read it. It is not available but it says it does. It is bunch of bull.
Therefore, the only way I know it did listed in 2008. Google Map in 2012 says it is grocery store as I can see the photo as proof. Clearly between 2008 and 2012. They are gone around that time. They operated for about 6 to 10 years.
The Interior.
It had Maple Hardwood rink floor as I can see in the grocery store photographs on Google Images and other images from other sites showing the rink floor and in fact, it still have that circle on the rink floor in the grocery store. That store looks nice inside. Seemly it is a specialty grocery store.
The Exterior.
It appeared to be a common Gabled Roofed All Steel Free-Span Trusses and Walled Warehouse like. Colors are unknown. The grocery store today has Dark Red fonts and trims with Medium Gray.

Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. I provide what information from other websites, skaters, and operators and it may end up with different results between two (or more) sources. It is not our responsible for errors we caused. All sources are shown on each page. All opinions and statements of mine are also stated and are for purely educational entertainment only.
Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
