Wheels N Thrills Amusement Palace 175 Wade St, Waynesburg, PA
Interstate Skateland was located at 175 Wade Street, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. And at one time, Wheels N Thrills Amusement Palace. I do not have information on either rinks in that location however, it apparently went out of business and other businesses were in there including a vape shop and a cat rescue center, however, a devastating fire destroyed the former roller rink building at 05:00 AM on Wednesday, 19 January 2022.
The fire was really destructive and when the fire fighters arrived, they saw the fire broke through the Segmental Arch roof and they were concerned that it would collapse because roller rinks with this kind of roof would not have any arch support. Good thing that every one was out of the building. Four businesses and an upstairs apartment occupied the building.
The cat rescue place had no cats at the time of the fire.
The businesses at the time of the fire were All Seasons Mats and Linen, Pine Tree Quilt Shop, Dubtown Vapes and Nail Policz. Also Catnip Acres. Tom Smith was owner of the building and co-owner of All Seasons Mats at the time of the fire. He sold the charred property in June 2022.
After the fire, it was demolished, cleaned up and cleared and sold for 349,900 USD. It was sold on 16 June 2022. New property owner's plans are unknown at this time of writing.
When the roller rink was in business, apparently the operators lived in that apartment upstairs.
Again, I have no dates of open and no dates of closures. The building itself apparently appeared to be mid- 20th Century. 1940s, 1950s. I do not know which one came first. The Interstate Skateland or the Wheels N Thrills Amusement Palace. Anyone know?
The Interior.
Since the age of the building, likely it was Mid-Century in the 20th Century and this therefore, had likely Hardwood Maple, non-painted. The floor may have even kept at the floor when it became a plaza with five businesses occupying the building.
It had an apartment on second floor with a cute extension that matched the roofline in the front wall section.
The Exterior.
Free-Span Steel Trusses Cinderblocks - Walled Arena - like Building with Segmental Arch and Skirt. It was heavily renovated into a plaza with five businesses on ground floor. It had Bow-Truss Roof.

Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
