Inlines Skate Center, 746 Fleet Financial Ct, Longwood, FL
This is rather unusual listing of a skating rink. It says Inline in its name. And the majority focus of this is Roller Hockey and its league. It was Orlando Pro-Inline Hockey, Inc. It was a professional pro-hockey league team in that skating rink. The founder of the rink wanted his two children to be actively involved in skating especially inline. It was a two-fold- as a skating rink for skaters and for roller hockey.
it began in May 21, 1998. This is quite ironically is that as I type this, it is May 21, 2019, exactly 21 years later. Exact same day and day number. Quite spooky isn't it?
So, now you know what to expect that the rink was in operation that year until its quick demise in year September 9, 2000. According to Google Map, it is a storage facility at the moment. It is common a rink becomes a storage facility because of its ample room to storage large merchandise or possessions.
Unfortunately, no. There is NO photographs! (Second rink I worked on today has no photos-two in a row!) But the exterior showed it looked rather large facility. Likely it was a full hockey rink size. It is now a storage facility. I am not sure if it is same building or was a rebuilt. Hard to tell. Anyone?
