Google Map. Top view in top is the location. You can see the Lincoln Log Green roof with Log Red. Top view is right next to a outdoor football field. The white thingy is the dome. Inflatable done. I read the article there is another inflatable football dome in the area. Two!? This rink should have kept open but the organization does not want a rink. Bad move! They should keep it as a rink for good. Seemly that many rinks have closed and football organizations takes over and converted to those foreign sports activity. (Yes, it is more popular overseas, not in the US apparently!)
Courtesy of Topshane Roller World. Wow, a huge skate rental section! And what did I see? Skates separated by gender? That is a first for me to see that a rink has skate rentals separated by gender.
The Mid-Coast Forcaster. I apologize the quality of getting those newspaper article are terrible. Middle one was great but first and last are not. If you want to read, read it here: The Mid-Coast Forcaster (Page 1, and final 2 pages).
Dborowitz. Music is not mine.
Courtesy of Zero Lux Paranormal. A paranormal investigation group investigated a possiblity of haunted rink, the Topsham Roller World. You think they are for real? You decide.
Eddita Felt on YouTube. Another paranormal investigation. Really?! Boo! Now are you scared, Charlene? Haha. JK!

This skating rink was at 20 Atwood Road in Topsham, Maine was known as Howard Sports Child Care & Roller World, then there is one without Child Care in its full tile. But then there are two variant for Roller World: Roller World and Rollerworld as one word. And of course, Topsham Rollerworld. Many names but two names or one name: Roller World. Likely at least three ownerships which changed names OR maybe the same.
Now it is for the first time without the word Roller World. It is now called Topsham Indoor Sports Complex. As poart of Seacoast United Maine, a football organization. Same address. That is because it is not a roller rink anymore. They have other indoor sports activities on the former rink floor.
LIkely it started as Topsham Roller World in 1989 until someone else bought it and changed to Howard Sports Roller World in 1999.
In December 2011, Seacoast United Maine purchased the rink and closed up the rink by 2015 but the newspaper in The Mid-West Forcaster said that skaters were afraid they would lose the rink because of that non-profit footballer team would take over and not use as a rink. Apparently it was nice of SUM to allow roller skating for three/four more years until 2015 closure.
The closure apparently was because of the lease was up.
The last owner was Neil Hathorne who ran this from 2012 to 2015. Before that, it was Charlene Roberts (both vertifed on 2 paranormal investigation videos on YouTube).
The Interior.
I am not sure what kind of floor it was. Concrete? It looks long and bit narrow for a rink. I like the floor and the simple appearance. It did even have rails on the wall like Happy Wheels would have them. Must be very popular for rinks in Maine to have such rails on the wall on the rink floor.
The walls were simple White and no murals, nothing. Just many classic disco lights but no starburst lights. Of course mirror ball and simple appearance.
The Exterior.
The view looks like a very long Gable building with doors on the side facing the main road cross the open tall grassfield. It has the words, Roller World upon the building. It has those colors I recalled as a kid- Lincoln Logs! Yes, LIncoln Log Green with Lincoln Log Red walls. But it is not a log cabin style building. Just wood built. I cannot tell if it is wood or cinderblock. Let's be safe that it is cinderblocks.
It sits on 12 plus acres of land with the inflatable dome for bigger field. They also have an outdoor hockey rink size football field. Remember, football is soccer to Americans.
