Hot Wheels Skating Center, 1740 Cole Ave, Helena, MT
Hot Wheels Skating Center was in Helena from 1979 to 2005. It is not to be confused with the other Hot Wheels that was in Sidney, MT which is on the other side of the state. Also not to be confused with the name Hot Wheels toy cars.
It was in a Gable roof open span steel walled and roof warehouse-like building. The rink was likely concrete. The only one photo has shown the rink but it was not very clear with the floor. It was taken in 1986. It was not given date when those photos taken and shown on Facebook. The walls were Salmon colored with Maroon Red base wall. The lamps were 1960s Moon light bulbs. The snackbar had wood paneling with white counter-top. Perhaps Formica lamination. In background of that snackbar next to the sign were photos of skaters there. A history to remember skaters wall. Also a poster of a famous singer.
Hot Wheels ran during the peak years of roller skating at the time.
