Courtesy of a Yelper on Yelp. Aww, the arrow did not light up! Would have been nice to see it was lit ala Holiday Inn sign!
All three above are Google Maps. 2013, 2016, and 2018.
Yelp. Lighter colors carpetiles with Royal Blue paint on walls and rails. Non-matching benches. You can see the size of it. Big differences!

I know what you are thinking, the little die cast toy cars you collected as a kid or even as an adult keeping them in boxes that could worth money someday. No, wrong Hot Wheels. This Hot Wheels here I am talking about is a dead rink on 390 East Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville, Tennessee. It is better known as Hot Wheels Arena according to the sign.
The other Hot Wheels, Inc. was found on 1106 East Andrew Johnson was likely a mistake. It could have been the owner's residence. Not that location. According to the old aerial maps from USGS I checked online, it was a gas station then a car dealership. That is why you found it is red fonted as I call that. Or red lined. Yes, it was found through DDG website map pointing where but I compared to Google Map and USGS maps, wrong spot. It was merely about a couple of blocks away.
This Hot Wheels that I found on 930 East Andrew Johnson Highway was correct location.
It began in 1990 (Rink Time) and folded in 2018 (Yelp).
Local Gym & Fitness which usually have posts captures from Facebook on just about anything. The last entry for this rink on Facebook was March 28, 2018. Apparently this might have been the final entry thus closed for good.
Realty Trac says it it was sold on August 04, 1989 which gives probable cause of correct year of opening says Rink Time. Something else was there before it was sold in 1989 for 300,000 USD.
The Interior.
Oddly, it has 3.5 bathrooms. So, this means 2 bathrooms, one gender each, another for perhaps staff only and half is for the staff only or for utilities room.
I do not know how it looked like when it was first opened or as something else because the building was built in 1974. Was another rink opened at the time? Hot Wheels started in 1990, well over 15 years from when the building first built.
The skating floor has that Royal Blue paint on as many of the walls and trusses of the same color but interesting opposite is that carpetiles are lighter color because of the dark walls.
The Exterior.
It is a Gable roofed, Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled Warehouse - like Building. The exterior design was quite similar to a rink that was recently closed that had a lot of windows up front. It may have been the same owner/operator who ordered the exact same OR it could have been a copy. I cannot recall which name of this rink that was closed for good because of hardship of COVID lockdowns and the daughter had to close it.
The Stats:
Rink Size: N/A. Floor: N/A. Floor Layout: N/A.
Building Size: 24,000 SF. Built: 1974. Demolished: N/A.
Type of Building: Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled Warehouse - like Building.
Roof: Gable.
Acres: 2.2000 Acres.
Operated: (Overall)-- Early 1990 to c. March 28, 2018.
Reason for Closure: N/A.
Wanted: Information regarding exact dates of open/closed, why closed, size of rink, rink materials. Also photos. Anyone knows or have photos, please let me know by emailing at [email protected]. Thank you.
