Gulf Breeze Skating & Fun Center, 800 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze, FL
This rink was around in this panhandle section of Florida in Gulf Breeze. Sure did the rink was breezed away from the public. But first in September 21, 1999, the rink was established and operated that year until a very short life later, in April 30, 2004, it was sold. Just 4 and half years of running the rink to the publix. It is understandable that it is very difficult to stat a new business and they say 90 percent of businesses closes during the first three years. It is true.
Likely that was the case with Gulf Breeze Skating and Fun Center that the founder, David V Weber started but sold the rink in 2004 to Bocky Lyons, of Gulf Breeze Land Co., who then was leasing the rink to Emerald Coast Roller Hockey League and closed the rink to public so that the hockey team can use the facility.
According to Google Map and it is 2019, the closed-to-public roller rink is no longer there. It is a Publix Grocery store along with small shops in the Publix shopping plaza. Was the rink in the section where Publix Grocery store is located? Need more information and whatever happened to the hockey team? It is not found on the internet at this time of writing.
So it is quite odd they disappeared.. both of them. Was the Publix Plaza built after the demolish of the rink? The plaza looks new from Google Map. There are no photographs at all. Four years of history and no pictures? We need to let Robert Stack and Denis Farnia rest in peace, thank you. They cannot announce anymore on this mysteries TV show.
