Courtesy of Yuma Then & Now Facebook page. This appeared to be a index card. That is quite a busy somewhat clutter business index card but very unique because of the style on the right side. The decorative frame showing real photo of a couple who were national champions. It showed the son of the owner, Gary Grant with the wife. Tracy and Gary Grant II as a couple skating champions. Gary and Barbara Grant were owners and operators and skate professional. Mark Bishop was manager and teacher. That is a unique idea to use before a few today uses index or postcard size business cards. I have seen something like this for events or vendors (other than skating) and missionary cards.
Courtesy of Google Map. Taken in 2018 presently as a Christian church.
Grant's Yuma Rollerland 1002 4th Ave, Yuma, AZ
There was Grant's Yuma Rollerland, a skating rink at 1002 4th Ave, Yuma, AZ which is now a church. Twice two churches were there.
Not much to say about the place but It was Gary and Barbara Grant owned and ran the rink as Mark Bishop was both manager of the rink and teacher. Gary and Barbara's son, Gary Grant II and his wife Tracy were world champion couple skating.
They themselves must have done this during the 1970s as clearly the business index card showed. I could not find any other pics online. Anyone know what the appearance of this place was like back the day both outside and inside?
This rink appeared to be running during 1960s to 1980s. I am not sure.
