Roller Rink Trenton 100 Sal Boulevard, Trenton, OH. Very neat clean minimalist feel for this rink with excellent mural full of stars and geometric shapes. I love this design. It looks so clean, fresh look. Makes you want to go there often. Sadly, they are gone. Notice the floor? Beautiful roller follr. Source: Roller Rink Trenton on YELP.

There were four, yes four rink names at 100 Sal Boulevard in Trenton, Ohio before it was relocated to 1640 East Kemper Road, Sharonville, Ohio with the original name, Golden Skates Roller Rink. Sure does this rink was a chameleon that changed it skin often when they needed to cloak itself.
Now it does not hide anymore nor change its names. it is a church presently at 100 Sal Boulevard in Trenton, Ohio. I do not have much information on dates of open, closures, changes, etc. Rink-Time said Skateway-Trenton started in 1984 but ending is unknown. Facebook has the same name -- Skateway-Trenton and it started Facebook page in 2010 but last entry was 28 April 2017.
However the signs on the building in Google Map showed in May 2019 that it was Roller Rink Trenton. But in August 2013, it was Skate Town USA.
From the Yellow Pages, someone commented this rink on 10 December 2011.
This place is great. I went to the grand opening and they have redone the whole place it is really nice and much safer [Edited for grammar]
Samuel O. Nelson was the operator of Skate Town USA which began in 2013 according to Allbiz.com
Twitter account for Skate Town USA ended with 05 of July 2019.
The building was last sold on 25 July 2019. Apparently that was when the rink was sold to a church. This confirmed that the rink closed for good 20 days prior the date it was sold. It was sold for a good 250,000 USD. The building was built in 1980.
There is a questionable for the location that is 5 miles from the Sal Boulevard location called 1640 East Kemper Road, Sharonville, Ohio. Did the owners/operators of Golden Skates relocate that rink or expanded at the time? This is why it is on here. If they did relocate, it stays here and will describe but if they started another rink of same name, then it will have its own profile. However, I have no information on this except I received this list from one of those 5 sources of 1990s list of rinks. Well?
That location is now some businesses with half of the building as warehouse. Anybody?
The Interior.
Golden Skates Roller Rink (Trenton, OH): I do not know what the original look as it was when it opened in 1984. That is a good question. Anybody? The floor might have been the same all that time. Non-painted Polyurethane Coated Maple with Straight Angled Fan (it means not stack or steps, but angled straight cut), not the straight parallel).
Skateway-Trenton: Again, I do not know what the original look as it was when it opened in 1984. That is a good question. Anybody? The floor might have been the same all that time. Non-painted Polyurethane Coated Maple with Straight Angled Fan (it means not stack or steps, but angled straight cut), not the straight parallel).
Skate Town USA: Likely, they had renovation to update the appearance. But I am not sure if they did with this specific rink or the next one, the Roller Rink Trenton. That is a good question. Anybody? The floor might have been the same all that time. Non-painted Polyurethane Coated Maple with Straight Angled Fan (it means not stack or steps, but angled straight cut), not the straight parallel).
Roller Rink Trenton; They may have renovated much for this rink. But the appearance had much Deep Navy Blue with Snow-White paint background with much of geometric shapes on the walls where the birthday party section. They also had Patriotic Red "High Wire spool" benches. This showed very patriotic theme inside of the building. I love the interior what I saw in those pictures. There are more but too much of people in the way in those photos so I could not use it. But I was fortunate to find only two photographs. I am surprised that the rink operator did not take picture of the rink itself! That is a huge surprising. I love to see the entire rink but also you too, fans! Right? Any of you have a photo without people, or a person in the "distance" or in back of part of the photo on the rink which I can remove them digitally, I can do that and upload the photos.
I see the Concession Stand look very clean white look. Reminded me of the 1950s and pre-50s fast food restaurants or diners or even drive-ins have that look. Especially White Castle and White Tower restaurants have that look.
