Actually a few said it was the bookstore that still has the wooden floor still visually seen it was a roller rink in its shape. Source: Google.

Golden Gate Roller Palace 1545 Golden Gate Plaza, Golden Gate Mall, Mayfield Heights, OH. This was shot from a vehicle as someone was filming on 25 April 1982. You can tell with the cars and the businesses there as some were gone. Well, this video I found showed the name of the plaza/mall where it was located. The sign was big evidence. To locate in the video, watch around 3 minutes into it. Source: YouTube/videoholicreturns.

Golden Gate Roller Palace was a roller skating rink at Golden Gate Mall, Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Like Southgate Skates was in a plaza, this was also in a mall.
Wow, the plaza is up for sale for a pricy 47 Million USD! This plaza has 371,748 Square Feet of retail space. Part of it was a roller rink.
One of the reports said that the new owner back then who bought the mall wanted to change everything and get rid of some businesses including Roller Palace because of his discomfort with the patrons at the rink. Really silly I tell you.
Some said that Roller Palace almost closed in the mid 1970s, and credited Freeman, the replacement for saving the rink when he became the organist there.
They closed with the possibility the owner of the plaza wanted to change his floorplan of the plaza by getting rid of the rink and the owners were getting old. But it was financial difficulties were the main reason for closing.
The Interior.
Maple wood floor. The floor was broken up to make into stores for the plaza. Reusable material according to skaters who went in the stores.
Roller Palace Maple wood floor was chippy and rough in much rather poor condition. There was virtually no varnish on the floor. They did not upkept the rink with varnish or some kind of urethane coating.
The Exterior.
Clearly it was a plaza with a storefront.
