Courtesy of New Albany Library. Good postcard painted in color from photograph. It is so detailed. Great for puzzles! It is quite a crowd.
Courtesy of Historic Louisville. On this map, drawn by someone. Nothing said about roller rink but it is quite clear. See it says, "Pavilion" That is the roller rink. Because of the small diamond shaped building which is a fountain. The colorized post card above clearly pointed that out.
Courtesy of Dead-Rinks. This version of the map is also very basic. The description is that the rink is the large brown colored on the map. That was the rink with the nearby water fountain. The oddly shaped was dance hall. The small square building or diamond shaped was water fountain. The red circle was carousel while the black shape was where the band playing in gazebo. Gray rectangular was parking lot. To the right of carousel is refreshment and a bowling alley.
The large building on the right of the baseball diamond is grand stand and the bleachers. It also shared as football field too. The big oval shape was the huge tent. The curved gray was the trail. Tennis courts were next to the parking lot. Small black squares are tents in a area called "Tents Row." (Not shown are tickets and offices which is between ball field and the huge field next to the pavilion roller rink). The thin gray line around is small train rail road track.

Glenwood Park Roller Rink Spring Street at Beharrell Streets, New Albany, IN
Glenwood Park Roller Rink was located on the grounds of Glenwood Park on Spring Street at Beharrell Streets on the banks of Silver Creek in New Albany, Indiana. Opened in 1903 as a more simple park. More like a community or a recreation park than an amusement park. The drawing showed very cruel rendering. I will do better one.
The street names were changed. One thing, Historic Louisville mentioned this park and rink that are from Indiana, not Kentucky! I had to correct because the map showed me where. I also made a map of grounds in better view.
It was a popular place for picnics, recreation, and Chautauqua events. It included among its attractions, boating, bathing, fishing, baseball, football, tennis, a carousal, miniature railroad, theater, dancing and of course, roller skating.
New Albany High School used the football field.
The park was owned by the Louisville and Southern Indiana Traction Company which provided interurban service to the park from Louisville and Jeffersonville. The park was sold for residential development in 1935. It was a Trolley Park.
They went out of business in 1935 and 10 years later after the War, it was sold for housing development. In my opinion, likely they went out of business due to the Great Depression.
Today, the exact location is not clear but according to Historic New Albany, it said to be 2522 Glenwood Court, New Albany, IN.
The Interior.
Open spaced without windows and seemly only open during season between April and September/October. The rink was windowless and airy. Seemly the entire area under the open roof was the rink. Likely Maple wood or some kind of wooden floor.
The Exterior.
it appeared to be like a shelter at a state park. The design remains the same. Dark Wood stain, open without windows, just Gable and skirt. Entrance was at the south end of the building because of the water fountain gazebo.
