All courtesy of Hermiston Roller Ink. Umm.. am I right that I am seeing a dinosaur roller skating? Or is that one of Barney's friends? Hahaha. Notice how clean without any art work on the wall. Stays fresh and ageless. Not need to update! Just put on new coat on though as paint fade on Concrete walls.
George’s Skate Center, 922 E Main St Hermiston, OR (Prior as Hermiston Rollerink) (4th)
Hermiston Skate, 922 E Main St Hermiston, OR (Before George's Skate Center) (3rd)
Hermiston Skate Center, 922 E Main St Hermiston, OR (Before Hermiston Skate) (2nd)
Hermiston Roller Ink, 922 E Main St Hermiston, OR (Before George's Skate Center) (Final and still in operations)
Holiday Rollarina, 922 Main E., Hermiston, OR (Likely original)
There were a few rinks at this address throughout its history. Although I could not find any information regarding to Holiday Rollerina. That rink was original in my opinion because of the final 4 rinks were housed in the same building. This is why it is in red.
The reason for the Holiday Rollerina is listed as first rink or possible first (as so far in my opinion) because the 11,774 Square Feet building was built in 1964. It has Raised Quonset Hut with combination Hip front roof.
It is a very basic Minimalist design with white walls both interior and exterior. The floor appeared to be concrete and painted making it very modern Minimalist style. No cartoon characters, no graffiti writing, none of any.
The next rink with the final four rinks were listed in Bizapedia. All in order starting with the first one:
1. Holiday Rollarina
2. Hermiston Skate Center
3. Hermiston Skate
4. George’s Skate Center
5. Hermiston Roller Ink
Likely Holiday Rollarina may have ran from 1964 till 2003 then Hermiston Skate Center from 2003 to 2005 when it became Hermiston Skate without the word Center under new management. The fourth one was from 2006 and ran for 6 years till 2012as George's Skate Center before becoming Hermiston Roller Ink under new management again.
I could be wrong about the Holiday Rollarina's history. And no, it is not a typo with Hermiston Roller Ink. That is the way it spelled as seen on Facebook.
Only that Hermiston Roller Ink is still in operations. I see many cancellations though.
