Gay-Way Roller Rink 102 S 24th St, Ashland, NE
Gay-Way Roller Rink 102 S 24th St, Ashland, Nebraska was a rink for a time from 1953 to the mid-1970s however, I do not have any more specific dates for the opening and closed. But they were owned and operated by Lawrence and Leola Frahm.
Mr. Frahm drove the rink’s school bus to surrounding towns such as Wann, Yutan, Louisville, Waverly and Greenwood on designated evenings to pick up kids to bring back to Ashland to skate.
There is a large indentation on the east bottom side of the door frame leading to the wood floor at the VFW it was caused from skate toe-stops!
Currently as VFW. Post 9776. It sits on a corner cross the street from the fire department.

Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
