Galaxy Skateway 8031 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This is an aerial view of the former Galaxy Skateway. You can spot easily in this one as a former Playmobil Funpark because of the castle-like frontage. It sat behind a couple of smaller buildings in front. Source: Google.

Galaxy Skateway 8031 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Noticed the photo featured curved line on ceiling with the fake clouds on it? Likely that was where lights and stars and universe were painted up there. Source: TripAdvisor.
Galaxy Skateway 8031 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Not to be confused with a similar name for another rink, perhaps by the same management is the Galaxy Skateway in North Lauderdale, FL. Although the owner of this Galaxy Skateway was also a PDM for the other Galaxy Skateway. Hope that clears up. However, I do not have much information regarding about this rink especially no photographs. None of all.
But I have information which will be described here. It was opened in October 20, 1986 by the Sam Guelli Family including Sam and his wife Annette. The exterior is unknown as well as interior is also unknown but the appearance AFTER the rink was closed for good, it became another children's plaything called PLAYMOBIL FunPark. Sadly, that too closed up too. I know what went wrong with the funpark that just closed in early 2018 is that admission was just merely a dollar. Maybe could have and should have been 7 to 12 dollars range for admission. For that play place, the score is very high because well priced, has toy shop, and excellent management and staff.
As Playmobil, it had castle appearance theme on the exterior. It sits behind a liquor store and a couple of other stores but had big enough sign to show where the facility was. Let not the Google Map fool you where it was. It will show you the liquor store. Not that one. The one behind.
It appeared long rectangular shaped building apparently designed for a rink. There are over a dozen or so photos of Playmobil and they showed the interior clear. As an Architectural Drafting Major at one time and has understanding of Architectural Design, both professionally and as hobby, I believe the ceiling oblong circle in abstract form on the ceiling showed the flow of the rink. See photo. That would be placed toward interior side of the rink. Try to picture the rink, perhaps it was concrete and all. Then those fake clouds and sky up there was actually painted with stars and shooting stars and planets. Likely there were lights along there. Perhaps glow-in-the-dark. Please correct me if I am wrong. Likely it was nearly wall to wall rink. Maybe it had diamond ball and other lights upon the ceiling but it was removed for the kiddie indoor playthingy.
The floor looked redone for the indoor playground with sections and paths. Apparently it may have been original floor painted over for the playground. Concrete? Please correct me!
Sadly it closed up for good according to two or three sites that the Guelli couple closed up in August 13, 1993. It was a short lived rink apparently.
Anyone has photographs of the rink originally? Both interior and exterior. Would appreciated. And more specific when opened and closed. And why closed.
Photos above are as the defunct playhouse, Playmobil FunPark.
I noticed a street sign that says about a factory outlet store by the entrance as dated in year 2018. Did it become that but the sign is quite faded. Was it BEFORE the rink OR After the rink but BEFORE the funpark. Good question!
