All above courtesy of Google Map. Top and bottom are Hot Wheels Skate Center with middle as Galaxy Skate Center. You noticed huge improvement on exterior to show the name however, still lack showing because of the trees. Time to cut the trees so the people can see. However, I think I know why the original owner back in 1996 when this was built had to put trees there to buffer noises from outside and the rink itself with "loud" music.

Galaxy Skate Center was at Woodstock, GA before it became another Hot Wheels Skate Center. I could not find the name but I found out about this location when I was researching about the other Hot Wheels that used to be at the Rockridge Roller Rink. It might have been owned by the same people at one time. But anyway, before it became Hot Wheels in Woodstock, GA (please not the Woodstock that Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin and other famous bands played. Wrong state anyway. Haha.)
Moving along. OK, This rink was already established back then. And I found out as I went further for about an hour finding out their name-- Galaxy Skate Center Perhaps twice before Hot Wheels Skate Center. Anyone know about that rink before Galaxy Skate Center?
Google Map did showed it was different but I could not see the name. Bunch of trees blocking the rink and parking lot. I think that was bad move to have trees there. Needs to cut because you want to show the public your business. Only you can with a resort. Sometimes. That is business 101 that you need to show your rink.
Second of all, real estate websites did explained it was rink before Hot Wheels bought them. I had to further finding out on Google search and found it in BBB.
Also I would like photographs to see what it was like before Hot Wheels.
Well moving on again, this building, as usual with the steel shet walls, I am sure with Steel Free-Span truss building. What more interesting is that they have entrance right in the corner kind of like many P-stores. That is, Pharmacy with this format.
Will need a name to help out for the one before 2006. It was sold for first time in February 3, 2006.
The Finley Family currently owns the Hot Wheels Skate Center. since October 2013.
The Interior.
I am not sure what they had the look before it became Hot Wheels. I found tons of photographs for Hot Wheels ON Galaxy Skate Center Facebook page and it does have a redirection to the Hot Wheels page though. Based on present photos, there are no rails around the rink but there are many word for "caution" colored on the edge of the carpet leading to the Concrete roller floor because it has two tones, Royal Blue for Roller Derby Flat track and White on rest of the rink. This format is for Roller Derby.
without the rails, it makes the place feel very spacious. But is it safe with step up off the rink. Often newcomers will forget. I never have been to a roller rink with a step up like that at all. Having been to many rinks in my life, always flat equal to off-the-floor platform is the same. I feel for safety it is best to have it equal to the rink. Why step? I think perhaps to make people realize you are getting off the floor but can cause injuries for tripping skaters like that. I highly recommend rails. Depends on your states, rails are required by insurance and/or the state. New York State-- it is required to have rails.
As usual, colorful black light neon colors against Black background. It has the logo of Hot Wheels on it. I do not know what carpet it was when Galaxy had for.
What I love is their ceiling. It has that clean ceiling foam panel tiles with black trim and they have vaulted ceiling for that and again. This center part is raised higher with Midnight Blue and the lights are not seen at many rinks at all-- reversed pyramid shaped lights. Each one is different color. Really interesting design. This makes me want to be there and check it out. I am sure you too!
Hot Wheels appeared to be a real nice updated rink that I recommend you go skating there. Spacious, roomy, seems to have large rink, and has a lot of video games as well.
The Exterior.
Free Span Steel Truss Steel Walled Warehouse Building. Originally, it was very plain but with Hot Wheels, they renovated both interior and exterior. It is more lively now than it was before.
