Fulton War Memorial 609 West Broadway, Fulton NY
The roller rink at Fulton War Memorial which is on 609 West Broadway in Fulton NY only ran from around 1952 till 1957 or 1958. The building, the community arena is still there, The Fulton War Memorial just do not offer roller skating anymore but it was there for weekends. It is now merely ice rink. Sadly, they do not offer that anymore and the town has their replacement which was opened in early 1970s, the Bilou Roller Rink which is still operational but for how long remains the reason for is the questions.
But back then in the heights of Americana and American popularity with automobiles were land yacht with huge fins and the new fast food restaurants, and cookie cutter based priced homes were the rage of 1950s. This rink ended on sad note in around 1958.
