Searcy Skate Family Entertainment Center 3579 Highway 367 S, Searcy, AR. Some of the many finest games are displayed. I love the carpet. Wait till you see the next photo! Ohh yes! Source: Searcy Skate Family Entertainment Center.
Searcy Skate Family Entertainment Center 3579 Highway 367 S, Searcy, AR. Very clean, Modernism with Funism which is a new word meaning entertainment carpet that are Black-light colors, colorful walls and materials. Look at those chairs! This is truly updated. Very clean and modern. Very impressive! This now should be the role model for other rinks to look foward to 2020s. Especially see the walls by the snackbar. All tiles. Very Euro-Asian theme here with the wall and the counters --both the Concession stand and the skate rental. I am quite impressive with this look. Really tops. Of course the same colors on the wall remains for rinks such as this rink ever since the 1970s for many other rinks with the same colors. Source: Searcy Skate Family Entertainment Center.

Family Thrills On Wheels Skate & Arcade Center at 3579 Highway 367 South, Searcy, Arkansas was operational before Searcy Skate Family Entertainment Center which recently operational. Both Family Thrills on Wheels and Family Thrills on Wheels Skate & Arcade Center are one and the same. People like to shorten or nickname businesses, stores, even places. I do the same. For example, I still call that mall Carousel near me although it is properly called Destiny USA. People say differently. Even in a movie they recently aired on Hulu called that mall Destiny Mall. (I did watch it but I did not see it was in Destiny! I must have blinked through the movie).
UPDATE: Searcy IS still open. Ronald confirmed that. It is still open. Check the rink! Please support your local rink such as Searcy Skate. In fact, they will expand soon! I let you find out when he announces it!
They are still standing. They even had a tornado incident one time but they are still standing today.
The original owners operated Family Thrills On Wheels Skate & Arcade Center (aka as Thrills on Wheels) only operated for a good 2 years before it was sold to the current operator, Ronald Dillow.
The rink was built as a rink in 2002-2003. It opened as Family Thrills on Wheels in April 2003. It was put up for sale around the beginning of 2005. The people that built it had no skating experience and just didn't know how to run it.
We purchased in in Aug of 2005, and changed the name to Searcy Thrills on Wheels, in order to try and draw from the local town. The rink was in unincorporated area just outside of town.
Dec 2012, when I made the decision to close on Jan 1, 2013. At that point I had a young man, who was homeless, working for me and living with me who said we can make this work, so, we rebranded on Jan 1, 2013 as Searcy Skate Family Entertainment Center. With his help, we turned the corner and things got better. (I call him my son, since he pretty much is).
-- Ronald Dillow.
Ronald, you are blessed to have that man who really turned things around. Had you hired someone else. it might have been a different story. That is amazing story. And close to home for me as this sounded something like an Undercover Boss episode would show.
The Interior.
The interior has bright bold colors. It showed more of the 2000s (the decade I mean) look with those colors. Lime Green and Blue. Yes, standard blue as it appeared but more on the light side. Those reminded me of regular Green and Dark Blue of Empire Skates East where I skated and yes, at least 10 other rinks I have worked on with the same color. Apparently those set of colors was popular relaxing colors for roller rinks. Currently other rinks are more bolder showing many colors as well. Yellow, Red, Blue, Green all together (Seen a lot of those colors at rinks in GA, AL, and LA states I listed). I love those colors and making me relax there. That is good because skating fast burns 600 calories per hour and it is a work out so those colors helps you feel less stress when skating. Of course, some purple here and there, and bit of Red. But entire walls are in those blue and green colors.
Maple is the name of the wood at this rink. It appeared dark though. Maybe stained throughout. Or age. Still those light colors of walls balanced with that dark wood. Beautiful facility I tell you. All that are under Searcy Skate, not Thrills on Wheels.
The Exterior.
Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled Warehouse - like Building with Gable roof. This design is very simple. But with nice rich colors, it looks class with Tan walls and Red trim. I consider those two combination more class colors which is nicer. More toned yes. It clearly shows simple as well.
I see that empty property next door. Yes, I eyed on that on Google Map. Why did not they bought it and double the size? Ah, yes, double it! Perhaps it is not theirs. But one can dream. Haaha.
Well the last paragraph is becoming true! That property next door is two acres that he owns. Ronald said they are...! Stay tuned! Watch for details on his website!
The scenery around is nice. A lot of grass in this business zoned area.
