Euclid Rollerdrome and later, Mig's Pla Mor at the location of 22466 Shore Center Drive, Euclid, Ohio. Originally it was Euclid Rollerdrome in Euclid long before the new home for Pla Mor that was burned down during the Hough Riots of 1966 that the original Pla Mor was burned down on 30 June 1966 when people were in riots because of the illegal discrimination all started with a bar. It spilled over to many businesses and burned including the original Pla Mor. Read about that first before you get to read here about Euclid Roller Dome before it became that rink in 2009.
But first, about Euclid Rollerdrome. It began
But the owner of the Rollerdrome, Keith Broda closed the rink in October 2008. The new owners that bought the rink from Keith were Cliff Murray, Warren Hatchett, Joycelyn Hanson, and Reggie Day as well as a silent partner who refused to reveal his/her name. They pooled in and purchased the rink.
The reason for renaming this rink as Pla Mor is they all remembered that rink and only rink that was serving for Blacks back the day. In fact, there is a photo of the original Pla Mor hangs up on the wall of the new Pla Mor.
I do not know where or when Mig's came into the picture of that name because Cleveland.com newspaper only mentioned Pla Mor. Did the team of 5 investors sell the rink to Mig's owner? Maybe so because I see the name often on Facebook for Mig's Pla Mor is Miguel Sanders. So Likely that is what happened. Anything happened to the group of investors? They sell it to Miguel Sanders? What? And when? To my guess, they sold it around August 2018 to Miguel Sanders.
The Interior.
I do not know what the original appearance for the Euclid Rollerdrome. It may have been quite different inside but not much on the outside because it is part of a plaza. Anyone have pictures of the inside at the time?
Then there was the rebooted Pla Mor that was opened in 2009. But they may have sold it in 2018 and it has become Mig's Pla Mor with Lime Green top, Bit of Peachy Orange and Royal Blue. What I like the best are lights that are vertical on the vertical trusses around the rink and they even have them on the wall.
As for Pla Mor, they even had the wall with their logo.
The Exterior.
It is a storefront look for the rink housed in this plaza like with another business but I think that business is not that big at all. The skating business is bigger of the two.
