Embassy Roller Skating Center 2229 East Buck Rd, Pennsburg, PA. This is the only true physical evidence of the rink so far I can use on here. The sign explained long name as Embassy Skating Center & Weekend Dance Club. It was a mutli-purpose center with 2 entertainments-Roller Skating and Dancing. A teen night club. Embassy Roller Skating Center 2229 East Buck Rd, Pennsburg, Pennsylvania operated the rink from 1993 until 2006. No specific dates available-- yet. It was also known as Embassy Skating Center & Weekend Dance Club.
The rink was build in 1993 on a 13.3200 Acres of property. Pretty big land for a rink. It was not a very good spot for the rink because you see. The score was 1.4 out of 5.0 for walking as for automobiles a 2.7 out of 5.0 which is pretty much half-half. A so-so. That may can hurt a rink business with not a good score.
But was the rink getting a good business? Maybe.
This rink had a roller hockey program and a roller hockey team called the Embassy Hurricanes that was directed by John McGonagle.
They also had a teen non-alcoholic dance club. Unless I am wrong, it may have had served alcoholic beverage but I doubt that.
Currently as Upper Perkiomen School District. That is what it says but I think it means school district offices. It sits next to a large area of electricity circuit breakers and nice modern Colonial style townhouses where the rink property used to be. Over 13 Acres clearly means that it was including where the townhouses are.
The Interior.
Since it was 31,274 Square Foot building, the rink floor was quite large had
The Exterior.
Apparently the building was part Concrete Blocks and part Steel Walled Warehouse like building and it was a large building since it has over 30,000 Square Feet. I do not know what the original appearance was like because I think the school district that bought the place has added a new frontage, an extension. The photo showed entirely two different appearance. First one with Blue Stripe wrapped around may have been the roller rink and the second one was heavily renovated and added windows wall to wall on front and changed many things. Compare the two photos. You will see huge differences. Besides that notable blue stripe is gone, windows added, but also some other windows and doors were added or eliminated. Landscape was changed quite a bit too.
Google Mappers forgot to drive by on that street years ago and as well as recently.
It makes it difficult for me to find out more.

Thank you for understanding.
Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
