Elliott's Skating Rink 616 Burkarth Rd, Warrensburg, MO
Elliott's Skating Rink was in Warrensburg where skaters enjoyed that old fashioned building. It was White building that looks like a hundred years old but it was torn down in 2013 to make way to modern buildings on its former site.
It was founded in 1948. This is apparently why they had that classic gable roofed building that were made of wood. A couple of oldest rinks in the US has that look. The rink lasted long time though. 65 years.
I do not have any photographs of interior and only exterior was found was on Facebook and only part of it was in the picture with the earth moving equipment. So, Unfortunately I have no other photos. Oh well. Any of you have photos, please let me know. As well as size of building, rink, etc. I know the floor has to be Maple.
Larry Elliott was the owner of the rink, hence the name of the rink is after his last name. He updated his company in 2003 according to Dun and Bradstreet website. Perhaps it was a different name before 2003?
The Interior.
It was beautiful Maple wood floor in LOG format layout but it had columns supports for the wood-built building.
The Exterior.
It was a house like. White exterior, Wood build but they had wood columns for support on the roof as you can see in the pictures. They closed in 2013 but Good map was not a good show for that year and earlier before 2013. Unfortunately, it was demolished that year.
