Both photos courtesy of Google Map. Noticed the big sign on the right side of the building above the steps and canopy? That was the original rink main entrance. Its gone in newer photo that was taken in 2016. The top photo was taken in 2008. Clearly the rink closed just before the 2008 photo taken. It is clear that the red truck there and the ladder there. Made sense that it was being taken down. The wording on that sign is blurred. I tried to fix it. The middle and left doors on that building are Mexican related. From left to right, a Mexican restaurant and in middle, a Mexican store. The signage that says Skate remains beyond closure of the rink.
De Queen Duper Skate 110 W Stillwell Ave, De Queen, AR
De Queen Super Skate 110 W Stillwell Ave, De Queen, AR
Skate & Happyland 110 W Stillwell Ave, De Queen, AR
De Queen Super Skate 110 W Stillwell Ave, De Queen, AR
Skate & Happyland 110 W Stillwell Ave, De Queen, AR
I believe De Queen Super Skate is correct spelling because some of the lists I have and some of the searches uped up with De Queen Duper Skate. I do not know why. And the Google Map failed to focused their photograph back in 2008 for me to see the name on the sign. In later photos, they are gone. This big sign above the main door entrance holds the clue but its blurred in the 2008 edition on Google Map.
It was set in the middle of town with other commercial buildings.
I do not have much information but I believe it was owned by Erma J Hulslander who co-owned with Gary Easmunt according to Biz Standing website. They opened in 1991. It was registered on November 12, 1991. Likely closed in or before 2008.
Was Skate & Happyland operational before De Queen Super Skate or was it after? It sure does bring a mystery.

The Exterior.
It was housed in a Gable roofed warehouse-like building with a narrow small canopy by the front doors that has the Cross-and-the-Bible steel doors. The steps there in main doors but the other doors are for other businesses there.
Likely the original was without those Mexican businesses and those doors were only emergency doors at the time. Skate remains on the tan colored wall. I like the colors how it gradate on that. It is Red-White-Blue.
