Sk8X 1108 Old Hwy 81, Duncan, OK Taken in 2018 showing both Sk8X and the defunct Chisholm Lanes. Looks very quiet. The bowling alley appeared to be busier back then. What happened? Source: Google.
Sk8X 1108 Old Hwy 81, Duncan, OK The rink floor at Sk8X. I see it is RollerCourt. The interior design is very basic. Colorful yes but basic. Some Gold color, Black, SU Orange and Blue, and White ceiling. Source: SK8X Facebook.

Before Sk8xpress, it was D & K Skateland that was held on 1108 Old Highway 81, Ducan, Oklahoma. Highway 81, not Interstate 81. OK? Haha.
Unfortunately, D & K Skateland... no information but I have it on my lists of rinks I got off from the net from 1990s. So, for that rink, it was around at that time. But later, it became Sk8xpress in 2010 according to Sk8xpress website.
There were other rinks at this location as well. They were Little Rugratts & Friends I & II, Paradise Family Fun Center, and Roller Express. Only Paradise and Roller Express had Yelp reporting they are closed. No other information. Anybody?
The Interior.
I do not know what the original floor was but at this present time, it is RollerCourt as you can see very clearly on the photograph you saw above. It is very simple design that it has several bold colors such as Gold Black, SU (or you can say UI) Orange and Blue. It is ageless interior I can see because it looks like it will be there for quite along time and age less because people always say it feels like 1980s. Wrong. It is not 1980s in that photograph. Cant be! It was not open in 1980s for Sk8X! Very funny, skaters! Try that and you will be mistaken.
The Exterior.
It is simple Free-Span Steel Trusses Steel Sheet-Walled Warehouse - like Building with Gable roof. It sits in between a highway near a bridge and a former bowling alley, Chisholm Lanes. It has Tan colored walls around the steel sheet walls.
The bowling alley looked nicer. But they are gone. Their wall is falling apart fast and appeared different when they were closed. part of the bricks fell off of Cinderblocks. It is a Brick Veneer wall. That was in upper left corner. Reminds me of a former department store with the same color bricks in creative look of Peeling Building, Richmond, Virginia, built in 1972 for BEST Catalog store (Defunct). That bowling place was in Deconstruct Consumerism Post Modern look. But without the curves. The latest photo I have display on that building showed part of the wall appeared to be different shade of redness. Just like the Peeling Building was reconstruct to flatten into boring look for a current business-- a pawn shop.
