5 photos courtesy of Google Map. From top to bottom: April 2008, August 2013, March 2014, August 2016, and January 2019. Top three you can see behind the sign is a Huddle House. They must have closed around same time as the Showtime Roller Rink closed. It is now a donut shop. Noticed the sign name changes.

Crystal Palace Skating Center was first followed by Hot Wheels Skating Center and for a time after Hot Wheels was Showtime Roller Rink at 1334 West Hillsboro Street in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Not much to go on here. Crystal Palace was on the list of rinks so it is included but a little more about Hot Wheels and Showtime because they both were more founded on the internet.
Looks like Crystal Palace was first established in 1970s, perhaps because of the style of the building was designed and built very 1960s/1970s look. Brown-and-Pink Red Bricks, Gable roof, Cinder-blocks sides and back in Tan color, there is Dark Chocolate Wood vertical stripes in front. This should give away it is the 1970s. So Crystal Palace may have been opened in 1970s till 1998 when it was sold and changed name to Hot Wheels at the time. Likely this Crystal Palace was the first in a series of Crystal Palace rinks in Arkansas for sure.
When Hot Wheels went out of business in around 2012. Google Map did not say exact year. And Yelp does not say it either. Nothing else so only way I have to say with Google Map showed in 2013 that the sign has the name Showtime Roller Rink. That sign is just a canvas roped in covering the old name, Hot Wheels which I think was a cheap shot which can ruin a reputation. People see it looks like it will be only a temporary location or something.
When you want to open a business, have it made look more professional. Look at the old Hot Wheels. It was made on a plastic for the sign. The canvas sign they put up is not made for that sign. It is made for trade shows on the wall or drape on the table. Well, the rink was short lived apparently. Maybe because of that or the way it was happening. On Yelp, a mother was shocked how staff and owners did not do anything about those bullied kids. And they were doing something terrible to each other as in carnal way on the dance floor. Sounded too familiar. Yes, another rink nearby my home went through this same trouble and it was really stressful to the owner that he and his wife had to pull kids apart and bring them to the office.
Well this rink, the owners did NOTHING to stop carnal ways that children were doing and did nothing to stop bullying.
We here at Dead-Rinks do not tolerate bullying, carnal/sex traffickings, and child traffickings as well as violence and illegal sexual activities including rape, sexual assault, etc. We strongly encourage rink owners, managers, staff to help fight all this.
This rink had everything that goes against Family Friendly and it was clear with the interior. Monochromic, but also music has to do with it. Today music is all sexualized and violence. Rap, Hip Hop are more likely are to be blamed.
The Interior.
Thanks to Google Images taken by patrons, it has people on it. Well, I can describe about the place. It is rather dark inside. Black walls! Black and White ceiling tiles off the rink. The rink area ceiling is all White though. The rink itself, however, Concrete with Navy Gray paint color. Hmm. All monochrome interior.
Maybe they had colorful walls, and everything else colored in the past.
The Exterior.
Gabled roofed Free-Span Steel Truss Cinder-block built, Brick veneer front church front - like Building. 1960s/1970s look. Brown-and-Pink Red Bricks, Gable roof, Cinder-blocks sides and back in Tan color, there is Dark Chocolate Wood vertical stripes in front. This should give away it is the 1970s.
Not just the rink building has seen ownership changes, both neighbors too have changed as well. Used to be a Huddle House on the left side but now a donut shop. And a furniture store changed to another one which is on the right side of the rink. The Huddle House.. now that is another whole story about that company. Been around for long time.
