Skateway USA 2125 Bloomfield Hwy Farmington, NM This is the real spelling of the rink without the a in the name, "Skateway." It is very patriotic appearing. It may have really set up in the 1970s with this sign because of the fonts were popular at the time and the hard-to-see American Bald Eagle flying holding the two American crests. It clearly points to the mid 1970s to confidence with the American Bicentennial Celebration of 1776 to 1976. Source: Rink Time.

Currently Rock N Roller Rink houses at this location but before that, there were two others, Crown Skating Rink, Skateway USA. There is a confusion of addresses. Some had their address as 2101 Bloomfield Highway, Farmington, New Mexico, others say it was 2125 Bloomfield Highway, Farmington, NM. Both addresses are at the same location on Google Map. So, both are correct. Just they have two numbers for a reason.
Another thing, There are several sites giving two spellings for Skateway USA and Skateaway USA. So, two are the same. Just a variation of spelling or misspelling by some sites.
Patty A Lafon operated Skateaway USA from 1992/4 to unknown. Crown Skating Rink... history unknown but for the current rink, Rock n Roller Rink began in 2016 and still operational. I believe Crown Skating came first as far back as to the 1970s because of the decor of the building was very 1970s look. Maybe 1960s. Crown operated till 1992/1994 because both of those dead rinks are on 1990s list of rinks. Made sense. Then in 2016, it became Rock n Roller Rink. So, there you have it.
As a Historian on roller rink, I understood history of graphic design and popular names. Crown was used as a name for this rink which should place in 1950s to early 1970s because it was popular icon such as the Marriott Corporation in 1960s and so was Best Western Hotels and many other Crown related logos and names during that time. World Vision had a crown too in the movie credits at the time. So, this should places Crown Skating Rink from 1970s to 1992/1994. Anyone?
