Concord Roller Skating RInk 7049 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA
Concord Roller Skating Rink was on 7049 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They may have opened the rink in 1945 because the building was first built that year. One source says 1950s. That is close enough. It is possible 1945 but I could be wrong. Could be 1950s. But they closed in 1990s and now it is a storage facility.
Another source which was on YouTube said 1950. All said differences. I go by construction date so that is 1945. He said it closed in 1985.
Lou, Pete and Teddy Lesca were operators.
Apparently those three men owned and operated both Concord Roller Skating Rink and Cornwells Heights Roller Skating Center. Apparently using shared advertisements, announcements, etc.
It is now Mr. Storage storage facility.
Recently the building was sold on 09 August 2021.
The Interior.
Maple Wood floor for roller rink. The building size was 22,876 Square Feet but it may not have been the actual size. It may included the stores. The actual rink size is unknown. Even right down to the material. This is one of harder ones to know. Anyone?
The mirror ball was quite unusual in shape as you can see in YouTube. It is preserved in a which appeared to be a wooden box.
The Exterior.
The building being 22,876 SF does not look like it when seeing from the street because of other commercial buildings in the same section that those stores shared in the same building. That is because of the building you can see from the street looks that way as you can see in Google Map. You have to look up like a bird and see it is BEHIND the row of stores. It parallel to the row of stores and the street they are on.
The roof itself is a Combination Mix. It has its own unique roof design. I see it is not Segmental Arch and it is not Flatted. It is not even Mansard roof either! So I have to classified as Combination Mix.

Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
