Google Map. Aerial view of former rink. I know the area looks messy because it is stones and granites building company.
Cheepskates Roller Rink Peters Rd, Swansea, MA

Chateau Skating Center 6 Colletti Ln, Swansea, MA
Cheepskates Roller Rink was first established on Peters Road, Swansea, Massachusetts before it became Chateau Skating Center and Chateau Skating Club on 6 Colletti Lane, Swansea, Massachusetts.
Both the rinks' and streets' names were changed. Cheepskates was operational when the street was then called Peters Road before it became Colletti Lane and of course, Chateau Skating Center (and Club) were housed there.
It was Patricia Lett who founded and operated Cheepskates Roller Rink for a brief time. It was organized in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on May 7, 1980. It was dissolved on the same form showing the date of dissolution on August 31,1998. But it does not mean Cheepskates went out of business that year. It was Chateau Skating Center established in 1983. Three years after Cheepskates began.
Facebook has two groups for this rink but they both misspelled Cheepskates. Both are spelled as Cheap Skates which was evidently at another town and totally different management. Fans founded those sites and it is funny that you have to really catch it to read the name. Both administrators on those pages spelled it wrong. Makes me laugh. Good eye, my competitor!
I believe both Cheepskates and Chateau Skating Rink were both under the same management. It just name change? Anybody know about this?
Also anyone knows exactly really open, closed, why closed? Also photos of both inside and out? Please me know!
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
It was mainly under the Gable roof a warehouse like building with Free-Span Steel Truss Steel-Walled building. I believe the front part of the building was added after the rink for the current business's offices. The location is very beautiful. Thick forest and it is almost as if you are entering another world. But when you get there, of course, the rink and parking lot. Today they enlarged the parking area and for their building materials outside. But let not the scenery fool you. There is a line of trees dividing the old rink building and parking lot away from another street on the other side. And on that street on the other side is of course, a row of beautiful houses. It sure does look like it is in middle of the forest but it is not. Great place to escape though.
