Champ’s Portable Skating Tent Springfield, KY
The very original that Armand Champa began. He began his life long business with a simple portable skating tent. Armand began in 1955 near Springfield, Kentucky. It is listed as Springfield for now and for clear understanding in this story.
This eventually grew into a Champ's Rollerdrome empire in Kentucky. Sorry there isn't any photos available to see this. I am sure the Champas has a photo. It is not online.
The Interior.
It was set up outside under the big canvas canopy tent. Similar to the ones you see on say.. M.A.S.H. And it had open walls. And likely wooden floor put together on a pavement.
The Exterior.
It was a canvas canopy open tent similar you seen on TV but also at weddings but those at weddings are white. This must be Olive color to it. I do not know. Likely set up on pavements.
