Carl's Rink, Albert Lea, MN
L & L Roller Rink, Albert Lea, MN
This was one of three Carl's Rink ran by none other than a Carl. Carl Peterson. While I do not have much information but I know of this one he sold the rink to Lyle Luyper and Leslie Wittner according to Billboard magazine, November 13, 1954, page 118, second column.
Lyle and Leslie took over and renamed their rink as L & L Roller Rink on September 15, 1954.
However, Carl retained his other rink in Mapleton, MN at the time of the sale in 1954. However, Carl's had another rink which was in Frost, MN. Perhaps that was at a time before he sold the Albert Lea location.
I have no information regarding that rink either. No photos either. None other than the brief paragraph about the Carl's Rink of Albert Lea being sold. Anyone has information? Please let me know at [email protected]
