There were a series of five rinks at the same location only that Skate Factory is still in operations. The rink itself was in use since 11991 as C & C Skate followed by Tradewinds Skate. Then Skate Solution and Laser Skate. However, it lives on as Skate Factory.
Only that the owners of Tradewinds and Laser Skate both were owned by different owners but the rest are still owned by the same owner. Name change I do not understand why he change names. Some rink owners do that.
I have no idea what the rink size, interior look in the 90s and 2000s. But as Skate Factory, it has nice festive colors interior matching to the neon festive carpet. Classic yellow colored benches in booths, flickers hanging from the edge of the ceiling above the rink, and interior look. Of course Maple floor, a rare sight in Florida.
The owner kept changing the name although he did sell his C & C Skate 3 years after he closed it. However, he bought back and it became Skate Solution, then the rest is history with 2 more rinks. Only Tradewinds was different owner and management.
